I stand before you today, humbled and honored, to accept the "Community Member of the Year" award. I am deeply grateful for this recognition, and I thank each and every one of you for your support and encouragement.

I believe that the essence of a community lies in its people, in their kindness, resilience, and shared commitment to one another. I am proud to be a part of such a vibrant and caring community, one that has shown me the true meaning of unity and cooperation.

This award is not just a reflection of my efforts, but a testament to the collective spirit of our community. It is your belief in the power of community service that has inspired me to do my part. I am merely a symbol of the good that we can achieve when we work together for the betterment of all.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the selection committee for recognizing my contributions. I am truly touched by this gesture and it motivates me to continue serving our community to the best of my abilities.

for 2024, i'll do a poll to see what categories people actually care about; I'm fine having lots of categories and let people weigh in where they care, but also fine with paring it down if people get scared off when they see 20+ categories - which is actually pared down from previous years

if i recall correctly; prev years contained a lot of the categories i had, but also several other categories like best small map, medium, large map, real life map, fictional map, etc, and i think a bunch of sub-categories for "best xyz", "most improved player", as well
