Why does OP flip deployment priority, but OD card does not. I can play OP card and it will flip the deployment order from AB to BA, but the OD does not have a similar effect. Curious what the differences are, and why they are there.

Look at when the card gets played. OP gets played before deployment while OD gets played during move order. This is because you have the ability to decide when the OD gets played but OP is being played to give your first move priority by flipping the ABBA order favorable to you.

Nice info! I wonder if I play OP card in a team game, how it may affect the ABBA (move order). Does it flip the whole team?

I’ve been playing this game for over a decade but it’s still fun to discuss and learn things ( some I forgot many years ago )

Look at turn 9 and 10 I think. Whenever the OP card get played. This is a complicated example but it works. On the turn before the op it went purple cyan green red. Then the next turn both red and cyan played op. Without op the order should’ve been red green cyan purple, but because both players played op the order ends up red cyan green purple. Had only cyan played op I’m pretty sure move order would’ve been cyan red purple green based on my understanding.

Order priority card does not change the order of the cycle, but rather puts you in front of it. So it doesn’t follow the fairness of ABBA and the whole team can get their first orders over the other.

Nice so OP puts you in front of the line and OD puts you after the first turn phase, which is why OP changes deployment but OD does not.

The next step for you is to understand how move order works when OD is played
