What were the metrics used to make a decision on how to improve Clan Wars? How much do you expect those metrics to improve after the update? For example, do you want to see more clans, more players, more games, closer finishes, more varied template participation, or is there a different measure? After what interval do you plan to evaluate the new results?
What do you wish would be able to be improved on Clan Wars, but you haven't been able to figure out yet?
And what is the plan if the metrical results are disappointing?
simple solution to cw points system. 1 point per win until 25 games, afterwards simply divide wins by players per day. there is no advantage to any clan with 25 players or more and anyone can still play once per day. end of season rewards can still be divided equally by all who played that season.
this still incentivizes smaller clans, sharing 9th place with 30 players is better coins than 2nd with 100 playing.
Does a widely popular feature request that is reasonably simple to implement and isn't somehow expensive or otherwise controversial stand a chance to get implemented if you personally dislike it or even outright hate it?
well fizz, harmony has never been a serious contender in cw (their cw rating is really mediocre) but is impossible to not agree with their comments, please review your update for gods sake.
On CW templates: 1) How do you envision the new clan war templates and the voting procedure? How many new templates will there be as well as will there be any replacements or just additions? On the same note also, are template rotations under consideration?
On Clans in general: 2) Is revamping clans something you are considering over the foreseeable future? Talking mostly about common goals, interactive clan pages with stats and potentially also clan achievements, clan levels and more, with the goal to motivate a lot of clanless people to join communities and engage more with the game.
Under the Clan Wars menu (on PC), when you click View Timeslots, the entries are not sorted by any metric. Can you sort them by date/time please? Thanks,
@Cicero: I disagree, I believe Harmony is very much “a serious contender” in CW. No, they will never beat MB or finish first but that isn’t what CW should be about. This isn’t NA sports.
For context, MB’s record this season: - 7/13 (54%) vs OP - 23/26 (88%) vs all other clans - 5/5 (100%) vs free win
This is not abnormal or uncommon. MB/OP are such extremely outliers that there’s simply no point in discussing them in the broader context of “fixing CW”.
Among all other clans, Harmony has extraordinary participation, an above average win rate, and they go above and beyond to grow the game. Why are they being punished!?
We shouldn’t be talking about balancing Harmony with MB. There’s no realistic format where Harmony could ever win this.
We should be talking about balancing Danger Close and Harmony - and the current format has destroyed this balance.
Why are there so many players named offensive things like Hitler, Hamas or even some variant of the N word? Why are they not auto banned? Or even stopped from making such ridiculous names in the first place!
I feel that there is a lot of misunderstanding from the community as for why you implemented the clan cap in the first place. Could you maybe elaborate on that some more?
Does not look like very good rewards for membership right now? Only bomb card and mods and no ads? (but no ads can do with adblocker as well, so that does not count)
