He starts playing some garbage pay to win cash grabbing game, and sees that it has capped clans. Lets do that here! Doesn't matter that the community is doing just fine. New capped clans arise. All relevant clans move to uncapped clans, as they find out that the cap sucks. People keep begging Fizzer and giving arguments why clan cap is bad. Fuck them! I want cap, so the cap stays.

In this update Fizzer de facto declared war on uncapped clans: he will be making updates to intentionally undermine them. Oh, you are building a community? You are helping new players learn the game? Kiss my ass, uncapped peasant - I will be adding new features and excluding big clans from them to make people move from them. I don't hate your clan, I just want it dead. I don't care that you put time, energy and money into that clan. Community will be better without it. Because... that is how Raid: Shadow Legends does it. And others in the industry.

That’s not how you approach the situation. Take better control of your emotions.

If people want capped clans so much why does Fizzer have to bribe them with increased rewards? If people naturally stay away from small clans, maybe it's for a reason.

Right now there are https://www.warzone.com/Clans/Join 28 small clans looking for more players. All these clans existed before most recent CW update. Apparently the most recent update was supposed to cause a flood of new players to emerge, yet I see all these 28 clans with quite a distance away from 50 players (Most of them started at ~40 players).

Thorough my Warzone career I've been part of multiple small clans. I started in Eagle Fang Dojo and was with them for ~6 months, Last year I was with The Hodopian Dynasty for ~1 month and have been in charge of Road to Harmony clan for about ~11 months. In all these cases the same was true:
  • Barely any communication.
  • No strong sense of community.
  • Most people who join don't talk at all

The difference between these small clans and Harmony is like night and day. There are many stories of clans which wanted to grow their community, but couldn't due to clan cap, so they moved to different clans. The Hodopian Dynasty moved to Harmony, Neets and Excel moved to Prime, Fancy dot moved to The Last Alliance and etc. Excel in particular even had multiple small clans, but this still wasn't enough. To put it simply big clans are the best at maintaining larger communities and bigger communities is what all the clans want to.

Another thing is Fizzer's push for Clan Wars. Most players don't care about it. I'd say as much as ~90% of all clan players do not take this event seriously. Most people do not join clans because they want at the same time to play more real time games and get more Idle rewards. People join clans for their communities. Trying to make clans revolve solely around Clan Wars is simply a bad idea as overwhelming majority of our player bases have no interest in this event.

Big clans did not appear over night. Our communities have worked tirelessly for many months and years to get our clans to the point where they are today. The reason why some big clans are successful is that we have earned it through hard work. Anyone can become as successful as us if they put in the same amount of hard work. It's not the clan size that made us succeed. https://www.warzone.com/Clans/?ID=140 DARKLORDS have over 700 players and they've got no significance. That's just one example. Having more players does not make clan successful by default. Success always requires a lot of work and successful big clans have put in the labor to achieve their status.

At some point Harmony was a small clan, so was Prime and other currently big clans. When each of our clans started, there were many more successful and bigger clans around. We worked hard to build Harmony clan up and we went the distance towards our current big clan status. This is just more evidence that any small clan can become big and successful if they're willing to put in the work.

Fizzer's idea of equality is to take most successful clans and tear them apart. This is only going to make everyone equally miserable. Why put it the work if at some point Fizzer can just show up and destroy everything that put your hard work into? The players within our clans have been incredibly upset when they first saw this update.

Harmony in particular has spent years building up our Clan Wars rosters, many training games and tournaments have been played, players went through so much training effort and now a single player effort can overcome years of ~40 player work. This is a real thing. https://www.warzone.com/Clans/War?ID=56&ClanID=175 7th Heaven with 1 player have got 6 wins so far and are 18th. Harmony with 49 players, (from whom 14 only played 1 game so far), has 174 games in total and after all this effort they're only 23rd and have 20% less points than 1 man army from 7th Heaven!

Imagine working years to make your clan as strong as possible, imagine reaching 2nd place in CW and then the next morning you wake up and see that that's it, you're no longer in competition for any rewards whatsoever. You're not even top 20! People work just as hard as they used to, our players still want us to succeed, but nope! Fizzer decided that our efforts don't matter, so now all our work has become meaningless.

Not every clan is meant to succeed. Perhaps the reason why some clans fail, is not because they're small, but because their leaders are bad at management? For example Myth Busters is a capped clan, but their leadership knows how to manage things well and they've become a number #1 clan. All these extra players from uncapped clans did not materialize into 1st CW place.

The existence of Myth Busters by itself proves that many small clans fail not because of few players, but because of bad leadership. It's just like real life: A lot of people try to achieve something, but only those who put in the most effort succeed. Prime, Harmony, The Last Alliance, After_Dark, knyte club... We've all been small at some point, but we worked hard and we've made it. If we can do it, then any small clan with enough effort can achieve the same thing as well!

People in large clans have become sad and demoralized. I've talked to my friends from other clans as well. I can already tell that a lot of players have decided to never play in Clan Wars again, some have even chosen to quit Warzone altogether and some have promised to never spend a single dollar on Warzone.

Our clans are like families. I suppose Fizzer has never been in one of our clans, but if he would visit them, he'd see himself. We've spent years working together towards common goals and we're like brothers and sisters to each other. We have so many great shared moments together. Now out of sudden our connections are at risk thanks to Fizzer's interference. People are extremely upset about this. A good comparison would be forcefully getting separated from your best childhood friend.

Existence of big clans does not hurt Warzone's health. There are 62 different clans playing in Clan Wars, at least 15-20 are putting in decent effort into this activity. Dozens of different clans are playing in Clan League. 28 different small clans are looking for more players right now: https://www.warzone.com/Clans/Join . https://www.warzone.com/Clans/List only shows clans with some level activity and right now it has 431 clans. There is no shortage of clans.

As I said before most players don't take Clan Wars seriously and play Warzone for different reasons. Only ~15 clans take CW seriously. During last Clan League season about ~33 clans chose to participate there. It's important to keep in mind that Clan League does not get artificial advertisement like CW does. There's no glowing "Clan Wars" every 4 hours, yet twice as many clans take this event more seriously than CW. This just serves to show how unpopular Clan Wars are as activity. Not even all the idle/coin rewards could make enough clans to take this event seriously.

If Fizzer wanted to, he could easily monetize clan cap system and make money while allowing clans to grow in size. He could offer X player extensions for Y coins and he could also offer uncapped clan status for Z coins. Imagine having an option of getting 50 more players for any clan for 2499 coins or getting uncapped clan for 14999 coins. I am certain that there would be clans which would purchase these and Fizzer would make extra money.

Fizzer's most recent changes are not materializing into more small clans appearing. Existing small clans are already having trouble filling 10 extra slots, so I see no way how Fizzer can make new small clan creation materialize out of thin air.

Fizzer's attack on big clans are damaging the health of Warzone community. People are retiring from Warzone, losing faith in Fizzer as developer and all of this is inevitably going to result in worse sales. Having upset community is never good for business.

People do not like this update. Majority of player base wishes for clan cap to be gone. The Clan Cap Removal thread is proof of this: https://www.warzone.com/Forum/767989-remove-clan-cap Currently it has 274 votes and is #1 issue. This feature suggestion has been rapidly gaining support since Fizzer's latest AMA and is likely to get even more votes in near future.

I believe that clan cap is bad for clan ecosystem and its removal will help to improve player happiness. People have been asking for years for clan cap to be removed and over time the amount of upset people has only gone up. Fizzer could easily keep players satisfied and make some extra money along the way. All he needs to do is to respect wishes of Warzone community and get rid of clan cap.
