If you need armies or money just ask, it's the only way to receive. And helping each other is after all the reason for joining a clan. Here is how to make a request:
1) In the bottom center of the Idle screen you'll see a row icons. Click the one that looks like a pile of rocks, Ore.
2) To the right of the word "Ore" click on "Clan Requests".
3) That opens a window that lets you make a request for either money (W) or armies (A).
That's all there is to it. Give it a try.

What would be really nice if there was the affinity to request an artifact, even if it always came across as a poor one. But I suppose that would take away the frustration and patience building aspect...
