RE: 2v2 FE being "elite" or not - ignore whether it is elite in and of itself; within CW, it is an elite template b/c if you queue for it, you have a high chance of going up against an elite team, not b/c the template itself is anything overly difficult or special, but just b/c it's not popular and the most commonly queueing teams are the elite clans
Even SEAD can be an "elite template" if the elites queue in it; SEAD isn't 50/50 among non-equally skilled players (see Lotto convo below, that is a true 50/50), but it's certainly the best shot a weak player has at beating an elite player
@Morg'th N H'Throg "I also hazard a guess that if Duel Lotto was offered in every slot, some people would be very disappointed in it's popularity." - hell yea. Adding Lotto would be admitting that CW isn't important. It's admitting failure. I know you're not advocating itself, so I'm not directly this next part at/to you, just responding since you brought it up, and I pose the general question - what's the point of playing CW if it's just 50/50 w/o even actually playing a game of Warzone? It'd be like playing a game of chess by flipping a coin to say heads=white wins, tails=black wins. Are you still playing chess? Lotto advocates say Yes (imho they're lying and they know it but they want the rewards and willing to lie to get them). Of course the answer is No. Even if you played in person on a real chess board with real chess pieces, you set up the board but instead of moving, you flip the coin then just topple the appropriate king and declare the winner of the "Lotto Chess" game. Now imagine going to Chess.com and campaigning to have a tournament of Lotto Chess. That's what it's like for people to campaign for Duel Lotto in CW on Warzone.com
@Master Cowboy "It's just that a large amount of the playerbase doesn't understand picking, move order, and simple gameplay mechanics." - I think it's even simpler than that, they just don't queue for it. To excel at 2v2, you need to work with a teammate, and that takes work. Even players who understand picking, move order & mechanics just don't want to take the time to coordinate with another player b/c that takes effort. Most just want a straight up easy/quick game. But if there was some motivation for weaker clans to play 2v2, they'd be all over it. Something benign to the CW rank competition itself, maybe every time one plays CW 2v2 they get some individual/clan Idle bonus. Maybe that would be enough, but who knows - the problem is just that weak players don't queue for it, so it ends up being an elite CW template even tho it isn't innately elite
@DoctorK - my bet is on the Winkies; it looks like they want this and they're in the lead. HARD PUSH TO THE END

@l4v.r0v Krinid is correct in that strong players will beat weak players far more often than 50% on SEAD. In fact SEAD is one of my favorites to play on QM, because either a) I get winning starts and win very quickly or b) I get bad starts and have to figure out how to salvage them against a weaker player.
SEAD is certainly far less strategic than any template in which you get to pick your starts. With the right starts a true level 1 player can beat me on SEAD, but those starts are really really rare. A player whose competency puts them at the level of beating me on strat 1v1 5% of the time, probably has their odds improved to something like 30% of the time on SEAD. But it's not a 50/50 unless player skill is equal.

SEAD isn't pure luck, ask me how I know >looks at 40% win rate

I'll be up front. I only play Clam Wars for the rewards. If they were gone so would I. If there was a chess tournament where you can win 20 bucks every game you win, I'd choose the 50/50 coin flip not the chess option. Hell even if I was really good, I'd still pick it unless I actually wanted a game.. which when it comes to clam wars, I don't. I love me the boot wins.
But hey, I'm honest about it. Also my mom thinks I'm cool.
I'll go further, if I sign up for arena and it isn't a SE map, I am surrendering right away, I sign up for the others hoping for the time out win. Not going to grind a level I have no shot at.

I can stop logging into platinum’s account to play his games. Kind of against the rules. https://www.warzone.com/wiki/Rules"You shall not operate more than one Warzone account that participates in the same game, tournament, ladder, clan war, or in any way gives you an advantage or gives you points or coins."

I'm very interested in this crazy Season. If Winkies win the Season, it will be a sensation!
How did come that a bunch of rarely insane players get into one clan and tries to defeat Myth Busters???

@Buns
Have you seen the quality of Plat's games this season? I wouldn't try to claim credit for that if I was you.
