We all know the ladder rating system is slow, but how slow? Well I'm putting it to the test by tracking time to various milestones for a fairly strong player from a fresh account.

Ideally I would stay on for a full year and track progress for all 2025, but to be completely honest I expect to get bored and abandon this project before then.

Bronze League achieved 3/3 games

Silver League achieved 10/10 games

How many games at once? I think it might matter, running 3 I got:
3/3 Bronze
10/10 Silver
21/22 Gold
40/46 Sapphire

I'm currently playing 5 at once and blitzing my games but once I hit a certain level I'll go down to 3.

Probably doing 3 at a time would give marginally more difficult matchups and thus marginally faster progress but it's nothing like the old bayeselo days.

Bronze : 3 games (3/3)
Silver : 6 games (6/6)
Gold : 10 games (10/10)
Sapphire : 15 games (14/15)
Extra games : 10 games (7/10)

Ended with a 40/44 scoreline and never got to emerald since it would take another 40+ games and I couldn't be bothered. My scores were very similar to Widzisz's with a few differences based on matchups so yours would probably be similar. I wish you luck on your speedrun though Phobos and hopefully you can reach emerald.

Got bored of this faster than I thought. Guess I got a high leveled alt out of the bargain. May pick it up later, but leaving the ladder for now.

What you did here is an approach I unfortunately have towards a lot more things then just the ladder grind (at just 21/23 games in) :-/
