So i have seen alot of good community maps here, but i have one question. the rating systems says to "rate the map, not the level"? What level? The number of armies and how they are distributed per territory? Thats a function of how the map plays, why would i not rate that as well? The number of opponents? Also a function of how the map plays. Am i to rate purely the aesthetics of the map design with no referance to game mechanics? A map is pretty an all but with bad mechanics it goes from a delight to a chore, why would i not rate things like cars choices, starting options and army rates?

Yes, when you review a map, you only review the map itself. The reviews are also only listed on the map page itself, not on the level you played.

The map is only a small (but essential) part of the game settings, however the map maker has no influence over the game settings so you should review the map separately from the other settings.

Unfortunately many good maps have a lot of 1 star reviews from newbies not understanding the difference between a game/level and a map (which is why that "rate the map, not the level" thing was added).

Community levels only have a "Like" feature for when you enjoyed playing the level, and they cannot be rated or reviewed in any other way. If you would like to see more ways to review a map, you can do so by raising a feature request: https://www.warzone.com/Forum/f12-Feature-Requests

No, ive only been playing community levels, and all of them ask to rate the map when i complete them.

so just to be clear, rating the map is only the map, not the community levels?
