Community Standards and looking up maps?: 2025-01-18 01:57:40

So simple question first, is there a way to look up all the levels anyone has created for a specific map?

One of the banes of my existence is having a really good idea someone else has already had. I'm not joking, I invented the shaven before i ever heard of Warhammer (Kobolds that specialize in summoning far realms creatures), only for some to tell me about clan Moulder and i get spend an entire afternoon swearing.

So, to avoid this problem here, is there a way i can look up what everyone else has done with this or that particular map and make certain not to repeat something someone else has already done?

Second, how "Frowned upon" is it to take an existing community level, add a couple cards it REALLY, REALLY needs, and republish it, assuming i add something it the notes crediting the original designer? Simple example, i am currently playing imperator fiver and this thing needs a spy card so bad it makes my brain hurt. If i remake it just adding the spy card it desperately needs, and say "Full props to dude, great game, just needed this minor addon!" is dude gonna get pissed?

Firstly, see http://communitylevels.online/

Secondly, most people don't care about community levels, so I doubt anyone will notice.
If a level really really really needs changes, either the creator didn't know what they were doing, or you don't know what you're doing because they might have done it without cards to make a specific challenge.
Either way doesn't really matter, just give credit where its due and everyone stays happy.

But http://communitylevels.online/ specifically is not able to filter by map, right?

Oh dang, good catch....

Of all things you can filter on, map apparently is one of the few that it doesn't track
