Does anyone know what the official name of Iran should be at this point? It was the Sublime state of Persia during the Qajar era, but other than the fact that the Pahlavis preferred the term "Iran," I can't really work out how it changed, if it did at all. If anyone knows, I'd be most grateful.

In 1935, the Iranian government requested those countries which it had diplomatic relations with, to call Persia "Iran," which is the name of the country in Persian

The Anglo-Soviet Invasion of Iran was the British and Russian invasion of the Empire of Iran during World War II, by Soviet, British and other Commonwealth armed forces. The invasion lasted from 25 August to 17 September 1941, and was codenamed Operation Countenance. The purpose was to secure Iranian oil fields and ensure Allied supply lines (see Persian Corridor) for the Soviets fighting against Axis forces on the Eastern Front.

wow this looks amazing! id gladly test play it if you need another test player. AND just a suggestion, maybe add the Alaskan islands that go of the tip of Alaska as there were actually some tense battles with the Japanese and Americans

Question to the map maker: did you think about splitting China up in a civil war? Maybe making a larger bonus if the two are united? Cause by 1939 China was years into a civil war.... Even though the fighting had stopped in order to combat the Japanese....

Mister KL: Well I want to mainly stick to official borders, and it's also better for balance this way - Japan should only be slightly stronger than China, because the war was a stalemate after WW2 started.

I think you should slightly reduce the USA bonus, not by too much, but 69 is quite large considering some powers. Maybe more like 55? Anyway good work so far!

It's directly based on how many territories are within the bonus, using the simply formula of B = ½T, where B is the bonus value and T is the amount of territories within the bonus.
