I am not talking about incest. The bible mentions it. I did quote the bible, because of the pure fact that believing some of that stuff would be foolish. Highlights how silly it is to make the it's in the bible literalist argument. You still haven't disproved that. Small world view isn't a personal argument any more than calling someone a liberal or a globalist is. You're resorting to fallacies because you cannot make a reasonable point. In fact neither you or Colonel have made a reasonable factual point in over 7 pages. Yes that is pathetic. Your ability to support a point or understand an argument is pathetic. If you want to take that personal then do so. But that would be your insecurity thinking everything is personal not mine.
It's always funny when someone talks about fallacies and then uses personal attacks. If you feel the need to type out a whole paragraph about how pathetic someone is than it's definitely you who are the insecure one.
You still didn't answer as to why you're being so hostile. Did you have a bad day? Does taking out your anger on people over the internet make you feel better?
Wow you guys are really sensitive. You can use adjectives to describe more than people. An argument or lack of can also be pathectic. In this case it is.
I've pointed out that you are using fallacies and straw mans and are unable to make an argument for your small mindedness. You carry on trying to use them though. Yes it is pathetic - a pathetic attempt to make your case.
What question was that again? We've spent so much time talking about incest and how pathetic my argument is I've lost track.
I've pointed out that you are using fallacies and straw mans and are unable to make an argument for your small mindedness. You carry on trying to use them though. Yes it is pathetic - a pathetic attempt to make your case.
Yes, anyone who disagrees with you is small minded. I've heard that tone before.
I think you're putting too much stock into this. We're having an argument on an online gaming forum. "Winning" the discussion here is about as irrelevant as it gets. I've given my opinion, and stated my reasoning. I care little if it meets your standards. If you don't like my position that's your problem.
I may or may not respond after this, but still feel free to go on a tirade about my "pathetic, small-minded" point of view.
Well I was busy so I couldnt right up a super detailed argument. All i could do is throw stones at the fence as I walked by it but I couldn't stop to break down the fence as that would take time.
You guys talking about incest are chatting rubbish. In certain cultures and religions, marrying your cousin is considered incest, and in certain others, it is not. Eg. In Islamic law, you can marry your cousin or your step-sister, however you cannot marry your wives' sister or your father's wives (stepmother) even after they divorce. I myself would never marry one of my cousins because obviously in the culture of the British which I was brought up in, it is considered gross.
So basically, you don't really care what holy scriptures have to say about incest or sexual minorities. You cite them as evidence when it suits your homophobic agenda, but you argue against them when they advocate incest.
Prophet Muhammad slept with a 6-year-old girl, and according to Islam, every muslim should strive to live like prophet Muhammad did. Are you advocating pedophilia now as well?
Listen, the Prophet Muhammad did not sleep with a six-year old girl. He married her in a ceremony when she was six years old and she only lived in his house when she was nine. I have no idea when the marriage was consummated but I presume it was after she began living in his house. He did not sleep with her before she had reached puberty. Also, she stayed with him in marriage until he died, so you cannot say that he abused her in any way during her childhood as she would obviously have left him. Also, when Muhammad married her, it was because another man who was a pagan and had not converted to Islam was interested in her and had approached her father to ask for her hand. Her father/mother disapproved of the match, and decided to marry her to the Prophet instead. She did not marry again to anybody else after the Prophet's death and did not bare any children or become pregnant during her lifetime.
I don't see any sign of the paedophilia you claim in any of the above.
