Also, I think it would probably be better to have double-elimination tournaments laid out in the same manner as single elimination tournaments (i.e. with losers' bracket off to the right meeting the winner of the winners' bracket in the middle).

+1 - this makes it a lot easier to read lol
would it be possible to make a popup list of games played by each player in Elimination tourneys (perhaps the wins, lossed, and in progress numbers could be links that open little windows showing the games in each category)? right now you have to find each game individually and in larger tournaments it gets a tad tedious, especially if you want to view a bunch of games from one person
also, when you view a tournament game, would it be possible to add a button that takes you back to the tournament where you were viewing last?

Is there a way to access the table that the "player" tab is reading from in the new UI?
It would be really cool if we could leverage that to update a score sheet (clan league, other custom leagues) based on the Wins and Losses it is tallying. Additionally, it would be very good to know the order of wins and losses in a double elimination.

I'm not aware of an API which gives you direct access to that player table. However, you can easily get what you're looking for by making a few API calls.
1) Use Game ID feed API(passing tourney ID) to get a list of games in the tournament you are interested in. 2) for each game in gameList: -----use Query game API to view results of an individual game
3) update score sheet
I don't know how tedious it is for you to organize the clan league every season and keep score. I know you have a people helping you out with the score keeping which makes it a bit easier.
If you want to explore a way to automate the process, pm me and we can discuss further.

Keeping the score is no work to me thanks to Lolo, Wakanarai, Turtle, Dr Stupid doing the divisions. All my work is the up front organization which is very intensive. But if I could do the scoring automatically, it would leave them to just do their creative write-ups instead.
But, there are other custom leagues that could use this. WSOW is an example. I think a lot of custom leagues fizzle at times (and other people take them over) because they are a fair amount of work to keep up. If we could keep score automatically, it lessens the overall burden to host these things and I believe encourages people to do more of these fun leagues in general.
I'll try and do your method, thanks.
