I tried to make a real time tournament and the new system seemed great as i can create the tournament and it will feel up and start at the time i have set. however I can not make this an open tournament and can't invite a lot of people due to the limit on invitations so basically my options are to post on the forums and manually invite each person or make a lobby tournament and invite a lot of people which is I think was meant to be avoided or am I missing something?
on the positive side the tournaments look great and the invite interface is a nice improvement can't see the invite all button though
if anyone has an idea how i can make this process more efficient let me know I want to make a real time tournament this Thursday
with the new update, you can make the RT tourney now, and put as start date the 19.00 of thursday (just an example). Everyone can join in advance, and at 19.00 of thursday torueny will automatically start. If there are some spot left, tourney will wait till 30 minute of delay, and it will be cancelled.
Go ahead and create it, and you can find out if there's enough interest or not via whether or not it fills. Two days notice might not be enough though, I'd recommend creating it at least 5 days in advance.
The invite limit is 8 times the tournament size (and it's going up to 13 times in the next update). So a 16 player tournament can invite up to 128 people. This should be less of an issue now that the "check all" box is gone, since it will result in people actually inviting those who they think care about the tournament and not just spamming a ton of inactive accounts.
well as fizzer say, everyone will see it in dashboard. if you want i can add you to some chat with most active players, so you can advert it there as well.
2 days should ne enoguh though, as no tourney are open ATM.
But IMO, the fact everyone will see it in dashboard, will make your tourney fill up pretty quickly.
The "Starts in negative 13 minutes" is clearly a big bug -- I'll fix this. It also looks like it's not using your time zone correctly, since it's 3 hours off from what you entered (and your timezone is +3). I'll get that fixed in the next update. Sorry about that.
