Not to gloat, but the Diplomacy game craze was really spurred on by myself and a few others about 2 years ago. It ran away from me my close friends who controlled this. I merely used to adapt {rp} Templates to easy use within Real time. However, There used to be strong hosts, who made sure rules were followed, and it has become a gang bang. For that I apologize, but there is no way to ban them now.

Wanting to ban Diplomacy games because JS0223 doesn't feel like following the damn rules would literally be like wanting to ban girls locker rooms because JS0223 keeps getting kicked out of them for sneaking in.
The problem isn't the game, dude.

Still the problem. People keep saying that they don't like diplomacys but someone else does.
{rp}Julius Ceaser says he is the one who started the diplomacys. The diplomacys might have been good 2 years ago, but now they are just problems. It's just claim this, PE that. People have to start agreeing with me, that we should get diplomacy games banned before FFA games are gone!

I've only played a couple, and just recently. I don't have any problem booting someone, especially if you give them a nudge first. Everyone knows the boot times before the game begins. There is no need to ever ask the host. When I host, I expect people will keep the game moving, and generally they do.
Some small things that help... - be friendly in public chat. No need to make the game unpleasant by being a jerk or impatient or calling PE for every little thing. - state the expectations early. PE'ing someone for booting people is retarded, unless the host put that in the opening comments. If they did, then the expectations are set. Just go with it, or don't play that game. - diplomacy games take longer. If you're comfortable with that then you need not let impatience create frustration. Most of us play a few games at a time because we know people wait until boot times, go on vacation, etc. - diplomacy is what makes some games great. One of the great games of the past was called Diplomacy and the whole point was to try to out-politic everyone else. The icon for this game has a guy with a knife in his back, or sometimes, two guys shaking hands while holding knives behind their backs. It's being friends without being friends. It makes for a great challenge. - read the rules / comments before joining games. - and finally, who cares if you're black-listed. It just means that you won't have to play with people that you probably don't get along with anyway. There are plenty of fish in this sea.
...hope that was fair and true. -Scotty

Not being able to play with people who have blacklisted you previously in a different game is kinda the point of the list, isn't it? If you don't want your games to have any consequences whatsoever, better ask for a complete removal of the blacklist, not of a certain type of game that you don't like personally.
+1 for the I-like-diplomacy-games-counter.

"i dont like diplo games, therefore you must ban them!" that must be one of the most arrogant things i have ever read on this forum, and that is saying something. If you don´t like a kind of game, don´t join them, i don´t join lottery games, i don´t yell at the forum for their complete destruction.

I host diplomacy games very often. There are hundreds of people out there who still play them. The hosts need to have set rules and nothing in the gray or unknown. Everything needs to be layed out. To help prevent PEs, I put restrictions on who can join, usually over the level of 8 to cut down on unwanted players. But cutting diplomacy games would make me drop this game, and if I did that, I would lose my fans. I have so many people who dedicate themselves to playing and having a fun game. Creating new diplomacy games is what keeps it interesting, fresh, and fun. I vote agaisnt the removal of the game mode.

I've been in 3 diplomacy games with JS0223. In each one he ignored the rules and attacked everyone like it was a FFA. Then he got mad and either got eliminated by all the people he attacked or quit. So he kinda brought it on himself.
