I wish tournament hosts had more control over the tournament. When hosting a game the host can choose whose on what team, revoke invites so on and so forth. But, with tournaments alot of these option arent available. I try to set up tournaments so that people are on the correct team. For instance I made a clan round robin, but I cant assign anybody to the correct team the best I can do is put something in the description and hope that 30+ people follow the rules correctly. Revoking invites would be helpful too. Any thoughts?

Revoking invites was possible before recent tournament changes - and i think it would be good to have it back. But even then you weren't able to remove someone who already joined.
I don't think it would be good to give host so big powers. People don't check tourneys every day and you can easily imagine situation that tournament starts and you notice, that you are not in the team you expected to be - just because host moved you.
I've already described solution to your problem (allowing only full teams to join team tournament https://www.warlight.net/Forum/83352-coin-tournaments?Offset=56),i would create uservice, but i'm too lazy and don't really believe in it's importance :P

Thomas, people host games and it doesnt end badly. Its the same principle. Sure game hosts can put all higher levels on one team, doesnt mean they will win since higher levels dont always mean higher skill. Not sure how else it could be abused.

by that remark i suppose your lvl 56 means 0 skill, lvl means nothign, but if you put together the good players you decide who wins

Try running the clan league. Getting Division D people (all new to league) on the correct team was a NIGHTMARE. So I am with you on wanting more tournament controls.

I mean 5% of people may abuse it. But the majority of players will take it seriously. It just seems weird that the host of games have so much control over the game, but not so much with tournaments. Also, since warlight is so customizable its odd that the tournaments feel so constricted.

Random thought, but the round robin style would be interesting to have a playoff tournament style bracket. So the round robin would be the "season" and the seedings of the bracket would be determined by your round robin record.

I think for this to work properly, you would have to have it as an option. While Krzychu's idea of having full teams join as one is good, I think it would cause more problems then fix, as well as the code to remove players is already in place for multi- and real-time games.

When players join a team tournament, it has a pop up that says: "The host has the right to remove you from the tournament." with either a checkbox saying you agree or a close button that says you have read the sentence above. I think that you should NOT be placed on a random team as that would also cause problems and/or issues.

If done properly, this can work as long as the hosts do not abuse the power. As mentioned above, only 5% of hosts might abuse it, and those who do, won't have anyone joining their tournaments in the future again anyways.

I think there needs to be a replacement option ...for example if the tourny is 3v3 then the team would have 4 with the understanding that one is an alternate to come in in case of someone getting booted ... that is the worst thing that can happen when you are winning in a tourny and someone on your team gets booted or worse disappears completely. There should be some kind of fail safe for this.

As well, I don't think this would be a good idea since it would make it just more confusing and likely result in two people getting booted instead of just one. Most people would forget they joined as an alternate, I know personally I would.
