Of course, I suppose I should start up a list.

However, I still have another 200 or so territories to finish Germany and anywhere from 600-1000 for the Soviet Union. A long way away my friend.

Hopefully, I can accomplish this before June, but finals are right around the corner and I doubt my progress can maintain momentum. So a conservation estimate would put the map at around mid-June before it is completed, and even once I've finished mapping the territories I must go back and redo most of the bonuses.

May I test? These are the kind of maps I enjoy, slick and big.

Anecdote about hungarian war declaration on United States

Allegedly the US Foreign Minister had to check in the map where is Hungary and then welcomed the Hungarian Ambassador.
-What is the constitutional form of Hungary?
-Kingdom.
-Who is the King?
-Actually we dont have King.
-And who is the leader?
-Miklós Horthy Rear-Admiral High Excellency
-I understand so you have sea.
-No.
-Have you territorial claims against the United States?
-No.
-Have you territorial claims against someone else?
-Yes against Romania.
-And you will enforce your claims?
-No because Romania is our ally.
-I understand. - said the US Foreign Minister and recieved the hungarian war declaration.

The railroad idea is good if you are playing with local deployement. A railroad station should be apart from the bonus and have 2 territories (a central one and a barier arround it) soo you can easely defend and blockade it in case of a tactical retreat in order to avoid further push. Connect major cities with rails and put a railroad map on the corner of the map soo we can see the connections between stations (making the map without a lot of line connections).

The represented larger are also great, do that for major battles but maybe also for major cities like Moscow, Berlin, Warsaw,... that would put large ammount of fights on urban warfare if we boost defensive kill rate and lower offensive one we can get great position battles.

I would like to be on the map test too as soon as you make one, good luck with the map and at your tests dude!

Finals finished, progress will be resumed.

Urfang - Germany basically didn't even have allies, they just took what they need and refused to communicate. Italians, Hungarians, and Romanians were pretty much seen as fodder by them. It is sad that just because of their proximity they were forced into the conflict.

TeamGuns - Added you to the testing list. Railroads would be really cool, however, this is my first map so doing something so unorthodox may result in a worse overall map. I'd rather play it safe for now, but if I have room on the map I definitely want to add a detailed verisons of where major battles/sieges occured.

Not wholly true - Italy, Germany, Hungary and Poland were the Fascist four.

The Third Reich was "ally" of Hungary as they had let the hungarians to take some lost territory from WW1 but the price was WW2 against Soviet Union and Unites States. The US made just some air raids against Hungary but when the soviets defeated the hungarian army at the Don river the nazis invaded its "ally" to execute the endlösung before the soviets arrived and made another invasion. Both WW was mad thing as hell.

Two small suggestions:

You currently have the bonus circle for "Ostmark" right on the border between Willach and Leidnitz, making it looks like it might be one territory instead of two.

Spelling might well have changed in the last 70-75 years, so I'm not sure whether these are old spellings or typo's:
Willach (Austria) -> Villach
Pola (Croatia) -> Pula

Thanks for the suggestions RvW.

Willach is indeed a typo and I'll change it to reflect proper spelling.
Pola is the Italian spelling on the region. Since the Italians held the region right after WW1 (Treaty of Rapallo) I believe using the Italian spelling is more justified.

As for bonuses. I really haven't decided on how I want to implement bonuses yet. If you do have any suggestions on how I can make super-bonuses more pronounced/visible I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Good point, using the Italian name makes sense in that case (my bad, hadn't even considered that possibility).

It wasn't a comment on the bonus itself, I meant the bonus symbol is placed in an unfortunate location; if you slightly move it, the border between those two territories becomes visible, making it clear they are two territories (instead of a single, oddly-shaped one).

Wait, so are you not going to use the German names for everything? I thought that was a pretty nice feel, but in that case, Sewastopol -> Sevastopol and much more.

German for everything is unlikely due to not having enough documentation to do so, but the vast majority will be in German.
