Good for game-makers, Can use indicator to see if it is good time to make a large diplomacy game or a short one. Just a rough idea that came to my head in the last few minutes.

Would be easy to implement. Just the number of profiles that were Last Seen: less than 15 minutes ago. Wouldn't be exact (though I don't think anything would) but would be a good rough estimate.
Only problem is it could be beneficial or detrimental for the community to see the actual numbers.

it wouldn't give any acurate number either because some players only play multi-day games and you would be counting them

Some days I only sign-in to take my turn in multi-day games, then I quit. I oppose this suggestion.
