Been considering it for a while and with the end of the Clan League season looming, it seems like a good time to say my goodbyes. Far too many people I want to thank to mention, so I won't try. You know who you guys are - thanks so much for helping me enjoy the game through tutoring, chatting and just playing, despite my frosty beginnings when I first joined in 2011. Thanks to my clan, who've always been brilliant and I'm sure will continue to grow. Time for me to focus on real life ;) See ya guys!

Why do all these people who are retiring say its because they have to focus on real life. As if its impossible to have a life outside of warlight lol.

Well, you have few friends in Warlight, so it's not as problem to you.

Sorry to see you go, Arun. Never knew you really, but you're one of the old Warlighters, and I remember getting into an argument with you about why the Russian tongue is second best tongue to learn. See you.

You will be missed Arun.

You've made a big contribution to the community. Not by making maps or templates but by your forum activity and leadership skills.

Thanks for taking me into Warlighters way back when....

Not sure either Poon, but it sounds like Arun got enjoyment out of it as much for the social experience as the gaming experience. I really only play the games. I come and go as a please. If you're organizing a clan or tournaments... probably a lot more commitment.

Now there's an understatement! But I'll give you credit, you were able to turn it around and be a worthwhile player instead of just a PITA. Not many have managed that transition (most here would probably include me in that group)

A few people on here have anxiety disorders and don't go outside, this is their social life.
Some are parents and this fills in the odd spot in the day they used to find clear but no longer do.
Some started this when they were unemployed and tried to keep the habit up after but have found they do not have the time.

If your life is so empty that you can be in 50 games at a time and still juggle going to work, have a social life, love life and hobbies and far more than that then so be it but you seem to forget that everyone is different.

Warlight has become a second life for a lot of people. You may take the piss out of it but that'd show how shallow you are.

Take care and hope things go well for you Arun!

"so empty"

Yeah. I wouldn't state it in the derogatory way you've put there. Plenty of people have time enough for tons of warlight while maintaining both an active social and work life. I also accept that some people don't have environments so conducive to that. I can only speak for my own situation, but my life is far from empty. I can also understand that some people have schedules that make playing warlight the way they'd like prohibitive.

I don't judge.

@Drackoe: You're also not playing 50 games at the same time like certain others are.
It'd be near impossible to play 50 non-lottery games and still have a life that wasn't just "Eat, sleep, repeat" hence why I said it.

I won't be posting on this thread again.
