MrCherry, I don't remember you saying that when that .run guy retired. If he can make a retirement thread, slippy can too.

Genghis, Slippy won 75% of the games he ever played in. That's an extremely high win percentage for any competition. Again, show some respect for the freight train

Anyone can make a retirement thread, the interest is what counts.

Bye bye whoever you are.

QB, I'd rather see a 70 in a Calculus class than a 95 in geometry. I doubt you guys ever played with opponents who weren't booted or relatively well.

Dingle, on what ground do you base this on. ... text on an Internet Forum is about as meaningless as your clan.

@qb 8v8s are no measure of any sort of strategic skill, especially way you play them.

Sorry we think playing with friends is more fun brother. Just because we play different games doesn't mean anything when it comes to skill level. Apples and oranges.

Queef brings up a perfectly valid statistic and you go for the old "math joke" burn. When in reality calculus and geometry are equally as useless to 90% of people in the real world. If anything, geometry has MORE real world applications.

Also not sure why you're attacking our clan's skill. Probably just jealousy that Queef is higher level than you and you've been on here 2 years longer

Your argument that some random Poon Squad player that nobody knows should get the same respect as Fridge is crazy talk.

At any rate, if every person who quit warlight posted a good bye thread on here, we'd need a forum dedicated just to retirements. So no, I don't think we need one every time. Now if he posted a warlight related reason (like I am sick of the spam on the forums, or the RT ladder is broken, or whatever it is)...then it might have been noteworthy to the community. Anyway, there is no point debating the merit of this. Just don't say all retirements are equal.

I've never heard of Fridge, so he can't possibly be that important.

Dingle, i play at most 5 games a week, all roleplaying. I used to be competitive, but that was for fun and i never really excelled in ladder. I used to play more games, but it's exhausting to do the same moves over and over across 50 games. Once o got to level 47, i just stopped caring and focused on making scenarios. Level doesn't mean anything.

Math is practically impracticable for an average worker, and its equations can be hard to get what your inputs are for a given scenario. You're entirely missing the point i was making with that. In warlight terms :

A 90% 8v8 is way cruddier than 65% in 2v2.

Fridge put more thought and contribution into a single thread than you will in your warlight forum lifetime.

I bet fridge wouldn't have been too scared to face the Poon Squad in 8v8.

Anyway, 8v8 and 2v2 are completely different games. That's like bragging you're better at kickball to someone who's better at baseball. Some of us like playing and strategizing with friends, you should try some time.

I challenge the Poon Squad to either:

1v1: Me vs PC or QB - Strat 1 Med Earth
2v2: Me and Poseidonas vs PC & QB - Strat 2 Final Earth
3v3: Top 3 from my clan vs Top 3 from Poon Squad Europe
5v5: Top 5 from my clan vs Top 5 from Poon Squad Rise of Rome

We could do 5v5 as long as there's:

Light fog
1 day boot
1 starting position each
neutral territories no higher than 1
Airlift cards only
