Hello everyone !

I would like to know if it could be possible for team from the first division to send a second team in Clan War starting at the last one ? Of course, considering no overlap during a clan war between the two teams: team A / team B.

We have a lot of players in French Community and we always wanted to give a chance to all of them. But, this is relatively hard to do that, and give us a chance to get good performances in first division.
This way is the only way I found to conciliate the two options, considering the significant heterogeneity of level in our clan, and the gap between our top players and the others.

Considering clans be like sport club, this possibility seems to be very logical, easy to do, and very usefull to manage clans.

Obviously, this implies to put clear limitations, like not allow the second team to rises in the same division than the first one.

I like that suggestion, as AWF has 18-20 strong players, so we can't use them all. The second team could rise in the same division, but my only worry is clans like Illuminati or French dominating groups with multiple teams.

I like this idea too but there is maybe a problem if the team B ask for advice to team A in the Clan chat by taking screenshots for example. If your best players (team A) help team B, it's maybe unfair for the other clans competing with team B imho. But the idea is good. just don't know how to implement it.

I believe 101st requested this several seasons ago and were refused, leading to the creation of the separate Lynx clan.

Correct, you would need to actually start a new clan like Lynx and 101st

Why not just find a few clans from C and D to challenge with those other players. Then you can do a small competition just like the league

@Heliocentric: It's a very interesting problem, but in fact already existant.

- Of course, players from team A helping team B during a game will be unfair, especially by taking screenshots. It's not the aim anyway, and help team B to league-up with this kind of help will be counter productive: no amelioration of team B players, drop into a too hard division for them, and simply don't let them play by themself.
But yes, I don't know how to avoid this. I think it's impossible, like it's often impossible to avoid cheating, sadly.

- However, this problem already exist and will not be created by apparition of a second team. Clans can already cheating by helping players with screenshot during a clan league, and they are assumed to play their 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 without other players... or I just don't see the principle of a clan war like you.

This situation has already appends in the French Community, when a couple of players asks for some advices to others in our chat during a game, before without screenshot, and after with it. In fact, we gave them some succint advises, but this create a debate in our clans if it's correct or not. This is not really clear considering we are a team and a clan war is a team league and to give some advices to a teammate seems to be normal. Nevertheless, each tournament could be considerate individually, and if you play against an Apex player in 1v1, you hope all Apex team is not meditating to the next move to do, together. I guest 3v3 are made for this, and test for team skills with reflexion between teammates inside a 3v3. Interesting question.

We conclude external help like this is not really appropriate and stop immediatly the "ingame help", but we cannot avoid other clans to do that...

So, creation of a team B will not create this new cheat. We just have to trust in the honesty of other clans (sounds naive).

- To start a new clan means separated clan chats and clam forums, because warlight forum is not enough flexible -> two different communities.

- To create a new competition is time intensive, duplicating organisation uselessly, and don't permit to progress in the "real" mother tournament and improve then team B skill against better players progressively. Not impossible, but in fact, likely it will not (maybe a lack of implication of councerned players, but not only).

But can you imagine the extra overhead for me if a ton of clans made B teams for the league?

I have a suggestion. How about registering the B team as if it is a new clan? Clan League existed before we could make clans officially, so the only legitimate way to be in a clan was to have a tag and have all the members recognize you as part of the clan.

What I'm saying is you would have to have only a pool of players for A team, B team, and C team etc., and you wouldn't name them as 'French B, French C', but allow them to come up with their own team name with a team captain and everything.

A lot of competitions do allow a team to create 'B teams', but the rules behind it don't allow the player pools to mix, or for players to swap around during the season/proceeding season. We could do something similar.

@Forbidden - That would be nice. But other headaches are people that dont join, join wrong teams, etc. You have to mail, start chat games, etc.

@Chris: Yes, I understand. In fact if we create two different clans "French Community A" and "French Community B", it's two different clans so simply ok for a clan league with probably fewer restrictions for us, and exactly the same for you than with really two different clans.
Changes
-> two different clan forums = pain in the ass (but ok, we could if it's easier for you)
-> you shouldn't need to check for no overlap between clan players if players subscribe and really are in the good one.


Another consideration this one leading to ---> why some players are allowed to play for a clan where they are not tagged ? Like for WM in CW6 for example. Or with two different tags, like for example when [20] was not dead, [20]Timinator.apex or many others...

I'm not opposed to that, but:
- this is a nonesense
- this allows abuses
- this is so much harder to understand and to track it than duplicate sister-teams with a same tag for organizers and players

Example: [ILLUMINATI][WM]Phaeril.apex could be tagged French Community. Could I play with WM in CW7, apex in CW8, ILLUMINATY in CW9 and FC in CW10, without clan move, tag change or name change ?
Could I make some money as mercenary player ? :D:D:D


I understand how work organisation is time consuming, and thank you again Chris for that. So you are the boss here, you decide, and we will be ok with your choices.
If you want a clear organization (of course), you could further simplify and so please, make it clear for everything (will be better for you and for me^^).



@Lolowut: I didn't see your post, but yes! It's exactly what I see. A second team without overlap/mix is exactly as creating a new clan with the same tag and a "B", but maybe a little bit more harder/longer to check for organizers.

@Heliocentric: Niko joue toujours, il joue moins en ladder en ce moment mais est toujours bien présent en ligue France. Si tu veux retrouver des français et constamment, une chose est sûr, on est nombreux à être régulier sur cette ligue quoi qu'il arrive (hormis les vacs d'été), et tu es le bienvenue : ça reprend fin aout, si tu veux participer, MP. ;)

I won't be able to automate anything before CL7. CSL2's already been more than I expected- sorry.

But for CL8, there'd be two ways to do it:

- use AutoIt to set up a clickbot (which might violate the Warlight ToS) to actually create the tournaments, then the Warlight APIs to monitor them

- use the Warlight APIs to create/monitor the games without directly creating tournaments on Warlight
