https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_the_Creek_Nation.svgOther peoples that rebelled against America and lost are the Cherokee, Seminole, Kickapoo, Seneca, Osage, Shawnee, Choctaw, Lumbee, Chickasaw, Iroquois, Powhatan, Pequot, Ojibwe (Chippewa), Huron, Odawa, Potawatomi, Catawba, and Pamunkey. Many of these peoples even fought during the civil war on the side of the confederates.
There flags are not banned on state courthouses. And yet with many people's logic their flags are "symbols of rebellion" and they encourage people to overthrow the government.
So why is the Confederate flag treated any differently? They had their nation for a short time and then it fell apart. Nobody flying the flag is grabbing their guns and marching on Washington D.C. The flag means something different for different people and it is the hallmark of America that you can have the freedom on speech and the freedom of expression to display what you want without a overzealous government monitoring you.
