the map of the week is a FFA right? and what if players join the game with team intentions or intention of helping one or the other win depending who starts better and they take turns surrendering and what if a have the chat message where one of them said we take turns surrendering ... is this not fair or cheating ?

I don't think it's in violation of any Warlight rules but I might be wrong. However, I'd encourage you to share that on here just so the player community can blacklist them. I know I'll be adding them to CORP's Clanwide Blacklist thread if I have any way to verify that behavior.

That isn't cheating. Not against any rules either.

It ruins the N-player FFA if it becomes a (N-1)v(1). The players outside that team are playing at a disadvantage and are not going to gain much from that game unless their opponents are horribly subpar.

if it is (N-r)>(r),just quit the game (r=players outside team)
there's nothing players get from doing such nasty stuff besides wasting their own time
in that 4 player ffa however,since you already know them now,you can team up with someone next time to make it 2v2
teaming up in an ffa is a part of the game,you cannot remove it.also ffas are for fun and not much competitive so its not much of a problem if you lose some like that imo

The only way to truly measure skills are 1v1 in balanced maps. Take the template from map of the day and make it two player. I did so with the Jerusalem one and played some very good games.
