I have been working on this fantasy map for a little over a month now:

Eventhough, it is still in its infancy (Only one of the four continents is fully drawn and it bonuses are not all complete), I thought that this would be a good oppurtunity to take feedback improve and polish the map.

The map gets updated a couple of times a week, so checking back frequently is encouraged!

Very nice. All Id do is make the water less bright.

The bonuslinks all being a slightly different shape (and none of them good circles) is a bit annoying. Try holding control while drawing the circle to make it perfectly round, and selecting it and pressing ctrl+d to duplicate it.

The first continent is complete, aside from territory names, but that can be done in less than an hour, so I'll worry about it after everything else is complete.

Nice map; before continuing in inkscape, make sure a 2 numbered army fits within each territory borders. This can easily checked by drawing a 22,5/22,5 circle and see if it fits in each territory without overlapping the borders.
It will spare you a lot of time if you check it now and keep ik in mind for the rest of the map, otherwise your map cannot become public and you have to do a lot of work then
Another feedback, make the see/land borders more smooth, that gives you at least an average +1 ranking when your map is public ;)

Looks like you used the pencil tool rather than the bezier curve tool to draw the landmasses. I'd recommend redrawing them with the bezier tool- makes for smoother borders and gives you more space for internal territories as neater borders allow you more space to fit in numbers (and add more territories with the extra space).

The landmasses look a bit weird and pixelated. If you zoom in, the peninsulas look like a barbed blade.

And the ocean color... Should be a little darker. I think it'd be better if it's color were a little darker than a clicked territory's. Notice that clicked land is only slightly darker than the current one.

I agree with darker seas, maybe something like?:

The outer territories are pixelated and rough, because I made an image of the concept of the map, (In a different program) so I could trace it in Inkscape. It was in a low resolution and does look very smooth when streched out. I'll smoothen the continents when all the territories are drawn.

I've also changed the colour of the water, so hopefully that looks a bit better.

The third continent is now complete.

At this point the map is about 50%-60% complete, since the fourth and final continent will nearly double the number of territories.

I'm now accepting testers!

I'm not picky and will invite pretty much everyone that requests it to the test game.
