it's summer... didn t you think that maybe people prefer the sea? god! hang out a bit and get some sunlight (instead of warlight ! :D). seriously let s see in september...there will be more games 4 sure.

There are at least one of these posts every year. Warlight is still around.

Summer? ahah, no sun from where I live, and this does not explain at all the fact that Warlight is currently facing a serious crisis.
I'm not the first one to point out that Warlight is clearly losing players (just open your eyes and see how much ancient and great players already officialy retired, and just count how much "retirement posts" have been posted recently)

I only started about a month ago and I am now completely obsessed, I play every day.

the ones who leave warlight are just making new small warlight gamers. Who will join in 15 years :P

Warlight for a long time has not known any major improvements, this is the truth.
More people are leaving now, and that's easy to see and realize Warlight's decline: less games are created than before, Fizzer does not allow us to see real figures that would show us how much warlight activity decreased, but you can have an idea of Warlight's current situation by analysing how many games are created (than before), the time a game is filling in or never starting because no players are found, the number of renowned and talented players retiring, etc, etc.

Here are 3 main reasons (this my opinion, free to debate) about why Warlight will fail and soon or later disappear:
- No major improvements since a long time.
- Admin no giving a shit of people's grievances/concerns.
- Warlight obviously slowly becoming a total not free/commercial game.

Agreed.
Warlight is a fun game, for sure, but it does start to get boring when you attack a territory X times with X amounts of armies.
If Warlight is to survive, it must do some serious thinking on how to make games more pleasing for its players, as the game's true weakness is the lack of enthusiasm during games (from boots, votes, surrenders, loses, variety of maps being played (there are a ton of maps, not all are played), terrible partners, unfair teams, and the general state of the player before they log on).

hm... I guess this means you are seeing less and less games and come to following conclusion:

"You seeing less and less games" --> "Less and less games are created".

Is there also another conclusion to your observance?

Fizzer clearly doesn't care enough about Warlight or its community to fix the issues it has. He isn't willing to put in the effort needed to keep it alive.
At this rate, I agree that Warlight will eventually die, and only a hundred or two loyal players will keep it going.

I wonder if Fizzer is reading any of this.
If not, he should perhaps he should listen to the suggestions of the community.

I can test the hypothesis that there are fewer games being created each day. Since CSL is run manually, I can start making the games at the same time each day and seeing what ID's they end up with- which will tell me how many games were created in each 24h period.

That said, don't tell me that people are getting tired of the game when about half the Warlight community doesn't even play it. There's plenty of people who spend their time on forums and in poorly-made diplos who can't play a 1v1 on any template, not even ME.
