Was trying to play 1 vs 1 real time game. All I seemed to be able to is spectating games I where no one is playing). Is there some way to avoid spectating? and actually try playing the game?

Been playing free version for a couple of weeks. bought in because I was enjoying game. Question is legitimate. Not spamming.

it can happen if someone else joins the game before you do
in which case the game will start and you will see only the distribution
since the players take time to pick you'll think they're not playing for first few secs or mins
you can still join another game though by going back
if you want to play with friends,you can also make your own games in create games tab
since you bought the membership there are no level restrictions on you in making scenarios or using other features of warlight,enjoy :)

A level 2 with membership won't get much love here. This forum is foll of nothing but trolls. I'd level up and then ask questions or find yourself a friend who can help.

like he said, it happens because you joined the game too late and someone took the last open seat before you. just go back to the lobby when that happens and join another game.
