Check out CORP
I have been summoned!
CORP is a RP+strategy clan that primarily operates on the idea of doing as much as it can for its members. We run internal ladders (1v1 with 29 templates, 2v2 with 18 templates, 3v3 with 15 templates), a king-of-the-hill template-based league (also 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3), have a dojo system where you can focus on what you want out of Warlight, etc. We also have regular clan games (weekend real-time diplos hosted by the Hyaku-men no Dojo, inter-clan games under Scorpio Dojo, inter-clan diplos going on right now with 3 other clans, inter-clan team games ranging from 2v2 to 5v5) and tournaments (seasonal 1v1 tournaments, an ongoing 2v2 China tournament, monthly Scorpio Dojo 1v1 and 2v2 tournaments, and a real-time 1v1 Guiroma tournament scheduled for next Saturday). We'll also be entering Clan League 7.
So basically, we try to do a whole lot. Our goal is to give our members more than any other clan they could be in instead, so we're also very ambitious about our activity. Strategically, we're not quite apex or [Lynx] just yet but we're very focused on development and our players tend to get better fast because they get attention (and a lot of games). Of course, we also have an active chat and pretty active forums (although our clan prefers to communicate in chats and messages).
Our activity is also more multi-day than real-time just because we have players that don't quite live in just one time zone. :( Easier to play games with everyone when you play multi-day and don't have to be awake at 2 AM in Texas in order to plan your moves alongside your Polish teammate.
In summary, CORP tries to be a clan worth joining.
If you're interested in joining-
If you primarily enjoy strategy: set up a game (multi-day, preferably 3 day boot b/c I'm not online 24/7) against me on a template that you think is strategic. It could be 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, FFA, etc- although a 1v1 would be the simplest and also end relatively quickly (and have the lowest risk of a boot). If it's a team game, put me on the same team as you just because how players use team chat is an important thing to look at if you want to know whether they're a good fit for your clan.
If you primarily enjoy diplo/RP: link me to a diplo that you were in.
If I find you to be a good fit for CORP, you'll get an invite pretty quickly. We're not an "elite" clan and try to be very inclusionary, but we do try and make sure that our members mesh with the rest of our clan and also meet our (loose) requirements (L20+, <20% boot, active, not racist/sexist/a troll/etc.) or give us a compelling reason to make an exception.
:D Be sure to check out all the clans, though, and read the descriptions to see which one best fits your goals as a player. Clans like AWF aren't half bad, either. :P
