Turns out 80% of warlight players dont know what realtime ladder is. Real time ladder has at this point only 45 ranked players wich is far from its best. This msg will hopefully encourage owners/developers to market this ladder better and get more people to join it. This ladder might be whats needed to keep new players playing the game since they get a "rank" to fight for. maybe lower min level ? i dont know feel free to comment good ideas to make this ladder bigger and better.

maybe if warlight shows 0 ratings as default in the profile of those who haven't played in ladder it could motivate them to play and get points,while still keeping the option to hide ratings from the profile

Maybe make it for level 40 or 35+

The RT Ladder would be interesting to be semi-seasonal or like the coin leaderboard. The ratings reset every so often and players fight for the number 1 spot. The seasonal ladder gets the most people in it, so making it semi-seasonal would attract more people, because they are equal in rating to everyone else every time it resets.

Maybe it'd be a good idea to make a big event similar to Champions League i tried long ago, where invitations are sent out to x number of people that held 1st spot on 1v1 or rt ladder the longest in a given year? At some point I intended to try and make some sort of Warlight World Championship cycle where you could qualify via specific open events or via ladder domination as specified before, however i never went through with it, becasue of lack of time. Maybe other can pick up on that idea.

Well Realtime Ladder doesnt need much change but the fact that most people dont know what it is. Makes it impossible to grow. Infact i think the realtime ladder is slowly dying. So Fizzer might want to take a look at this. @Fizzer

I wasn't keen on the Realtime ladder, only played 2 games because the settings were weird, Multi-attack and local deployment, or whatever it is.

I don't think this is personally that bad, makes it interesting I suppose, it's just maybe not for me at the moment.

Not sure how to make it more popular though, but there's usually 1-3 players in it at any time, which is enough to get a game going...

@Fleece there is no real time ladder games with multi attack, let alone multi attack and local deployments on the same template. Maybe you are thinking of the current seasonal ladder?

In my opinion remove some of the more luck based templates to bring better players back onto the ladder. But for newer players i think it's just a lack of knowledge about it. Maybe if more people suggested to their clans (especially the bigger ones) to join that ladder, there could be more players?

I think what I also found tricky was the variety of maps. Thinking about it now I would probably do better now I'm more used to the extra maps on this site.

Like I say, I don't think the Realtime ladder is bad, variety is generally good. It's just not for me, perhaps cos I like to choose the kind of games I play.

I think a lot of players just don't like real time games so much either...

@buns: Taking your advice. Once my Open Tournament quota allows, I'll also create a level-up Round Robin on one of the RT ladder templates for people in my clan who're below the level requirement. Hopefully we'll be able to add some players there.
