Very good map, but it lacks distribution modes:
As this map is best for 2 player 1v1 or 4 player FFA,
distribution modes like "north vs south", "left vs right", "one quarter per player" are desperately missing. (Please update this map, init. distr. are easy to implement!)
I suggest this map to be played with manual distribution, in which all players agree upon a certain distribution via chat (i.e. Player 1 picks bottom right, player 2 bottom left etc.)
Play this map without "reinforcement card" but with "order delay" and "order priority" cards for additional tactics!

The map distributes unequally. The winner of the game is decided from the very start when a player gets the "Champion" territory. Thus this map does not serve to match equally the wits and strategic capabilities of its players, rather it bases it on luck.

Creative map. Result depends entirely on early success. A comeback is virtually impossible. Whoever is first to capture 1/8th of the board, while everyone else is still fighting it out, will be the one to win. But still a novel concept and interesting to think through the best wait vs. advance strategies.

Although the map had a large variety of players available, the map could be made better. There were no indications of how many troops would be earned per turn, and the one-hundred strong neutral territory in the center made the map fairly limiting. A player can only fight on his or her own side, so the map is not so much a sixteen player battle royale but rather a two-sided eight player battle royale.

Old School Map Bracketology. No bonuses are shown and it feels more like a lottery game. Newer versions of this map may be more appreciated. I'll have to try them out. However there are many strategies and with cards, takes skill and a lot of luck. No asthetics. Nothing special about this map at all besides it being the oldest one that's playable. 2 stars.
In a 32 player FFA, where everyone starts at Round 1, The concept of a game on this map imo is completely a lotto game. If a player gets booted or surrenders the chances for their opponent winning is increased. The first territories should all have their own bonus of 1.

You just have to have a good start. The computer AI is not too hard to fool, so I waste a turn at the beginning by retreating armies and giving him somewhere else to go, other than through you.

Fun to play! The same strategy and initial position either won or lost based upon which of us attacked the center position first and if the opponent was in position to eat them up right after that attack. One turn early or late and you’re done for as once you start losing there is no coming back.
