Great map - lots of fun! The unique geography of the Philippines makes for both strong chokepoints and flanking opportunities. Well done.

My only real criticism is that the superbonuses on Luzon award far more armies per territory than those farther south. For example, Central Luzon awards 15 armies for controlling 42 territories, whereas Eastern Visayas grants only 4 armies for 37 territories. This imbalance will tend to favor players that begin in the north. Players should be aware of this and may wish to adjust the superbonus values accordingly.

Nueva Ecija and Leyte both has 12 territories, but gives 8 and 10 armies respectively. If you add smaller bonuses and superbonus, then the result is like this:
Central Luzon - 42 armies, 42 territories
Eastern Visayas - 34 armies, 37 territories

These are bonuses with lower superbonuses and higher smaller bonuses
(and lower overall ratio):
Zamboanga Peninsula, Eastern Visayas, Cordillera Administrative Region

These are bonuses with higher superbonuses and lower smaller bonuses
(and higher overall ratio):
Central Luzon, Bicol Region, SOCCSKSARGEN

All other bonuses are 'normal' bonuses.

I would advice you to start up in the north. Nobody cares since all the heavy bonuses are down south so by the time your opponents have riddled themselves, You have a hefty bonus too

This is a great and lovely detailed map with some nice strategic opportunities. There are many useful connections between the islands and bonuses in any size. Unfortunately there is a disequilibrium between the southern and the northern bonuses, which leads to the fact that you can conquer the south faster than the north, which gives you an advantage to start in the south. Furthermore this map includes too many and too long bottlenecks, which makes it possible for the leading player to defeat their opponents one by one by moving up or downwards. For these reasons I gave three stars =)

Start in the north? Nope. All but 1 opponent started in the north, leaving just 2 of us in the south, which is a harder route, but no one in the way. This map was fun, challenging and well laid out with the competitive bonus system. One of the best playable maps on warzone.

i honestly think the singular areas you may claim are too small on the screen of my macbook. My advise is that you should keep the out line and shape of the map, just make the areas you can claim larger.
