A map with the exact same properties as 'European Union', (http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=24347), except this covers a larger area and is colored. This map also seems to be more balanced, unlike the former, where certain areas contains more high valued bonuses than others, though this is of little importance since this map is for diplomacy games

I like it, i played several good games on it (especially as custom scenario).
But you should fix the missing connections: the ones that Krulle said and also:

Everything seems to blend in from the neutral color of the bonus amounts to the dotted paths across the water, get some contrast so as to make it easier to tell that everything is not the same.

A quality diplomacy map. I echo the concern about unmarked overseas connection (specifically, the Greek Islands).
I might also quibble over some of the relative values of the territories, such as Moscow, Stockholm and Madrid outvaluing Holland, the Ruhr and the Midlands, but that's just nitpicky stuff that doesn't really affect gameplay. Well done.

It's definitely a good map. I assume this map was made in part for diplomacy scenarios, and that's the only pain about it: the Ottoman Empire and Russian Empire will be vastly overpowered thanks to the sheer amount of territories they have on this map.
Other than that, it's a great map.

Yet another algorithm that "toys" with you. It decides the pace of the game, and like several others, reacts to your strategy adding just enough armies to win a battle. Again, not fun.

I'm afraid I didn't understand it: the bonus amounts seemed arbitrary, almost random, and so did the sea connections.
Some of the sea connections are shown but are not easy to see, and at least one sea connection is not shown at all. Maybe I'm missing the boat here --?

Kind of good, but you will get a surprise at team b-s far end in a 1000 army.
The key is to attack your teammate and go to key positions. Allies are worthless since warlight changed to warzone.

Personally I do not like these never ending levels where the enemy keeps getting 500 or 1000 reinforcements out of thin air. It drives me crazy just going around in circles. I also feel it completely takes the strategy out of it.
