Definitely one of the best maps to play strategically for 1v1, 2v2, and FFA.
There are some balance errors, but this adds to the game play. The only horribly balanced bonus is Illyricum, but it's so large it isn't detrimental to gameplay. Other than this, it's extremely well balanced.
For 1v1 it is a bit linear, and hard to recover from a losing position. Picks are arguably the most important part. Guiroma settings are great.
For 2v2 it's even better. It makes for a fairly cramped, but intense game, where counters have more impact than ever. You can get good picks from almost all parts of the map, and the combinations are endless. Possibly the best map for 2v2 in the game.
The only problems are that it is too linear (as said before) and that to get a good template, like Guiroma, you must remove Rome, Carthage, and other 1 bonuses.

1. Be built to run a specific kind of game
2. Be useful for many different types.
This map has a largesse amount of different game types (player count scenario ect.) to work with and starting form all parts of the map give you a shot at victory.

This is an awesome map for anyone looking to play a quick and uncomplicated game. This is one of the few maps that I use for quick games. This map is also colorful, instead of having a boring black background like most Warlight maps have.

I like this map. It's small enough that you can play with friends in one sitting and still have a reaching experience. There isn't a bonus wall either and you don't reach a point where you are getting far more units then attack-able territories.

In terms of expansion, this map is a little bit imbalanced (Spain and France are clearly favored in the early stage). Some of the bonuses in the East are too low for the game to be competitive, imho. But it's overall my favorite map and by far the most fun to play on.

Another zero star unwinnable map. Why why why..We all keep asking this, why put these unbeatable maps on the chain? Not everyone plays multiplayer games, I'm sure this would be a fine map for that but this is on the damned CHAIN where people play one player games. 1081130 is the template code with the rules that work
Local deployment can get a bit dull at times but setting up those long supply routes to the right place at the right time is a key part of this map and rules set

This is possibly the best map on WarLight. The bonuses are balanced as expected – not all bonuses are equal, forcing players to actually use skill picking. The maps size makes it perfect for both 1v1 and team games, and can plays well with many diverse settings. The map can get crowded, and as such I do not recommend games larger than 3v3. This deserves to be and is one of the best maps on WarLight, and is definitely my favorite!

It was pretty hard at the start but once I discovered the moves I needed to do I actually really enjoyed it, this level had a puzzle like start and I struggled for a bit, while after some time it became a normal game of Risk and I'd advise to improve on that (plus the eventual snowballing), if you're making further maps this style, this was something innovative and someting truly great

This map is impossible. Not enough card support. Your AI partner is dumber than bricks. You have to rely on luck that your opponent AI makes the same mistakes every time in order to get anywhere. AND the enemy AI has WAAAAAY too many bonus territories compared to yours. By the time you have reached the 2nd major territory, they will have already replenished ALL of their troops.
DO NOT PLAY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! SKIP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Loved this map... Took me a few tries to get my head around it... I had a really fun game with an epic battle in Italy, that ended up in a defeat, but I still enjoyed the journey.

Terrible. Cards are way to powerful and the AI has them right away meaning you can’t do anything. AI just all Sanction you till turn 100005 and then fight each other and continue getting cards and you can’t and are stuck with 1 income a turn

I hate maps where you don't stand a chance of winning unless you follow a unique and specific scenario. It's not an matter of strategy when you have 100 troops and the opponents gather 1000. You could never enter war with such correlations.

This map provides challenges for sure. It is beatable, but the elusive Gold star is a challenge in and of itself. It is a high concentration map, in that one must be aware of how the enemies move. It's easy to forget that all enemies are allies with each other to beat you. The barriers also provide an obstacle as well as a protection making it very calculating as to when to break or not break through. The number of tries it takes to beat this (Gold Star) map make it less enjoyable and less likely to revisit it at some point.

I don't particularly like the neutral 100 unit barriers.
1. having my biggest unit producing territories protected by these neutral armies made the game feel very secure
2. One ai was completely blocked by 2 of these massive neutral armies. By the time I approached the island this ai was on they hadn't gotten anywhere close to breaking past 1 of neutral territories. One consideration is to give the island ai more unit production so that they can eventually break out and help their allies and are a threat then.
3. The neutral territories don't even prevent the player from getting high unit production. Consider making some of them part of the requirement to get 10+ units / turn. Or just make the territories they're on worth 5+ units per turn. Then it's high risk to take them, but high reward to control them.
4. I think the ai team gets in the way of one another for controlling territories, so they cripple their own economy. Consider reducing the number of ai opponents.

This card is very simple. It seems that it can pass quickly and easily. But in the process of playing with different partners, there are some very interesting situations. The game can end in ten minutes and can last two hours (at step 2-5m).
