Description

Four Corners Of Civilization - Temerant.

The map is based on the world of The Kingkiller Chronicle, created by Patrick Rothfuss.

All the map info is taken from the first two books of the trilogy, The Name of the Wind, and The Wise Man`s Fear, which is very little info. Maybe the 10% of the map is true. The other 90% contains:

-Locations that are mentioned in the books, but not located in the map, so I located them with my thoughts.
-There aren't so many cities mentioned to occupy all the territories I drew, so I completed them with other names of the books: characters, religions, companies...

Until the third book is out, it's hard to do it better or more accurate. But at least there will be a map of this great book series in Warlight.

Any help for locating cities or territories is welcome.

Nice looking map, connections seem to be okay, even if there are an awful lot of cul-de-sac locations, leaving a number of stray armies playing catch-up. The bonus distributions are a bit off kilter: 3 bonus for 4 territories, then 4 bonus for 3. Likewise the super bonuses, offering 15 or 12 for 26 territories each.

Very nicely done. As a fan of the books, this was great to play on.

A couple of thoughts that might improve gameplay slightly. First, there is no visual connection between Imre and the University. Although anyone familiar with the books should realize they are connected (I forgot - a head-smacking moment when I lost the University), I recommend making that connection clear on the map. Same thing with the Reft Bay and Tarbean. As it currently stands, it looks like the Bay connects to Murilla instead of Tarbean. Next, it should be more obvious that the Doors of Stone do not connect to the Great Stone Road. Finally, there should be a line linking Haliax and Lanre.

Thank you, nice to know there are KKC fans here. I agree with all your arguments. I can improve those things in a next version.

I wanted to make a connection between The University and Imre, maybe drawing a bridge, but I was new with map making (this is my first map) and Inkscape and didn't know how to do it. Also I had problems placing Tarbean in the coast.

Thanks, and I will try to improve what I can.
