I find myself at a loss on how to rate this map. On the one hand, it is flawlessly executed, innovative and attractive. The bonuses are well-balanced and it even has superbonuses.
On the other hand, I suspect there may be some imbalance in favor of the NE England super-region. After playing several games on this map, it seems that whoever starts there, even AIs, come to dominate everyone else. Nevertheless, I say I suspect imbalance because I'm still not sure. Combinations of the Midlands and SW England tend to do well, as well. The London area is too wide open to consolidate easily, whereas the south and Scotland/Northern Ireland are strung out enough to make conquering them a significant cost in terms of lost opportunity for inward expansion.
For now I'm giving the map the benefit of the doubt and calling it awesome.
PS - there is a connection broken between Newtownabbey and North Down in Northern Ireland.
