Description

My first big map. It shows all the census divisions of Canada, which are like one step up from counties. Because not every province has census divisions, I decided to make every large island a territory too.

The little territories are way too little and the numbers get cramped when you have armies down there.
Response by map creator Moros on 11/13/2013
I tried but can't make them any larger.

It is a large country! Need more trrops to be fun. Maybe progressive.

You can always manually edit the bonus values. Compared with other maps, my ratio is pretty high, because every bonus has more armies than territories. Some maps have half that amount.

Great map, found it to be fairly well-balanced. The multitude of little territories in Quebec can be somewhat difficult to make out and manage, but with a little patience and presence of mind it's not a major concern. Again, great map!

Southern Quebec needs better spacing, otherwise, fun to play!

The problem with this map is that many of the territories are too small and too close together. This makes gameplay difficult, as it is difficult to click on some territories, especially in Central Quebec, and Southern Quebec. If not for this defect, I would rate this map a 5 out of 5, and it would probably be one of my favorite maps.

Overall the designer did a good job for a big Canadian map. Some issues with territories being too small, a few connecting territories could not attack one another (two I noticed). As questions as to the names of territories could have been better (areas of Montreal and Toronto, Yellowknife, all of Newfoundland is not named).
Response by map creator Moros on 11/13/2013
Newfoundland was named exactly as the divisions on the map I found were named.

one of my favorite maps but even with the pop out in south Quebec some of the territories hard to distinguish apart, and some fade in and out could this be fixed?
Response by map creator Moros on 5/16/2012
I'm sorry, if you mean the overlapping army numbers there's nothing I ca do about it. I could enlarge a bigger part of Quebec, but then the map would become too noisy.
Or do you mean that some territories partially disappear? That's not something I or Fizzer can fix, but a Flash error.

It's a fun map, but so many of the territories are far too tiny. Gameplay is quite disrupted by the difficulty of selecting the territory you actually want to select.

The land mass sizes were not anywhere near consistent and this made it difficult to play

Far too many tiny territories that make navigation and figuring connections far too difficult. I have a 50 inch screen, pity anyone on a laptop.

very bad map. a lot of the territories are so small you barely can attack the neighbours if you play it on a smartphone and your fingers. also because of this small territories you oversee fast the other territories. the other bad thing about this map are the bonuses. they are way to big.

The areas in Quebec were way too small - this made it very difficult to see where armies were and what sizes they were, along with which territories bordered each other.

Slow game due to the large number territory required to gain a bonus. While slow, that adds to the excitement of seeing who gets the first big bonus. Then everybody has to scramble to get away from the “big boy“ on the board. Challenging replanning. Other than the mini tiny territories to contend with, I liked the layout of the map with its wide variety of boundaries to challenge me. I found the many very tiny territories difficult to see even when zoomed in to the max. It became even more difficult when I was making a wide frontal advance - the arrows also zoom large and often overlap. I found myself waiting anxiously to see whether my units actually went to the target territory. Occasionally when they had not gone to the intended target I contended with over crowed areas and a flank had been left wide open. I doubt that an officer during the second world war, who experienced such results would have found it due to a poor map.

Nice Territoriy Layout, Horrible Bonus structure
Response by map creator Moros on 4/11/2012
Horrible? Could you please elaborate?
If you didn't know, USA big has the exact same bonus structure, as do many other maps.
