Description

Liberia, which translates to "Land of the Free" in Latin, is an English speaking country in West Africia. Created as a settlement by the American Colonization Society, American blacks were given a chance for freedom by moving to the settlement. Liberia is the first and oldest country in Africa having declared independency in 1847 and surviving both the World Wars.
