Description

Many have heard of it--the seed vault of Svalbard. A place containing millions of seeds to replant should catastrophe ever strike earth.
Well, it's happened. And now that all plant life is dead, humanity's only hope is in the seed vault.
Whoever controls Svalbard, controls the vault.
Whoever controls the vault, controls the food.
Whoever controls the food.....controls the world.

All territory names are real. None are fictional. They are all real places.

I really really adore this map. It is even better than your previous great maps. I never thought you could make such a detailed map of such an abandoned place. It looks great, it has great gameplay, names are real, 5/5 no doubt, well done

Every now and then you encounter one of those maps on which the AI plays uncommonly well. Those maps are a lot of fun. This is one of those maps. Excellent work!

Plus - blue water is always great!

Good play the bonus are well spread out not easy to see the boundaries though especially if your color is dark blue
Response by map creator Clint Eastwood on 4/6/2017
What I've been doing in the past is color coordinating bonus colors to the map's environment. Svalbard is Arctic, so the bonuses are all different shades of blue. With my previous maps, like Panama, Nicaragua, and any other tropical maps (besides DRC), the bonuses are green in color. I'm about to release one map that features both South America and Antarctica--the South American bonuses are green, the Antarctic ones are blue/light gray. However, I do agree. It can be hard to see the borders properly, and I plan on using a different system with future maps. Thanks for the feedback.

I have not played the map yet, but off of looking at it, it looks like a really nice map for 1v1 games. In particular, I liked how all the borders were adjacent, but in some locations the colors were a little too similar, but that's not a big deal. I would think that in 1v1 games, players would probably want to remove the superbonuses. The blue background would probably also be very similar to a blue player.

Good map though! 5 stars.

Decent smaller-sized map.
181 Total Armies.
It is an adequate map, but nothing amazing.
Waterways work fine, could use a few more for more attack points.
played with 6 players and it ran fine.

There should be a better map of Svalbard, this one just hurts my eyes.
