Description

A very big map - I wanted to bring the expanse and the ruggedness of North America to warlight. I had a lot of fun making this one. Major rivers (the Mississippi, Ohio, St Lawrence, etc) and mountain ridges (the Appalachians, Rockies, Cascades, etc) are barriers. Territories and bonuses are cut along lines that are a mix of political divisions and watershed boundaries.
The map is quite rough in some places; hopefully this will make it more fun to play.
Bonus values are balanced with an eye to the overall map.
Lastly, I would have expanded the map out to the lesser Antilles and down to Panama and included the rest of Greenland but I was constrained by the file dimension limit. Oh well.

Update June 2024: 0-default bonuses for major cities added in. These will be useful for scenario games.

I would have given it 5 stars if it hadn't been for some odd and some missing connections. Nice map. Well done.

There were a lot of four corner connections on this map since I used watershed overlapping political borders. I did meticulously go through and rearrange every instance of these that I found to avoid the four corner connections, but I didn't want to rearrange them so much where the shape of the territory would become unrealistic.

Very enjoyable map. Obviously quite big, but well laid out and generally the connections are clear. Looooong loooong turns, so many actions. But it plays out very nicely and I did enjoy joining up my sections.
