Arguably the most well-balanced map in the game. Small imbalances in bonus values are distributed in a way that does not interfere directly with the distribution (there are hardly any locations that players are committed to).

For 1vs1 games it does well with standard strategic 1vs1 setting (with wastelands).

For 2vs2 games it tends to be too big to provide an effective way for coverage, but does very well, especially in random warlords distribution.

For 3vs3 games there is no better map available. Preferable standard settings are 4 territories in-distribution on random warlords or random cities, no wastelands and no cards (3 is also acceptable). The incredible structural balance provides not only great potential for high-level games, but also enables effective map coverage in the picking stage. 4vs4 games are also strategically interesting, but with more than 8 players, the map gets too crowded.

Obviously a great map, but I think it might be beneficial to increase the number of armies that Ukraine, Germany, Italy, and France give. Currently, their bonuses are not large enough to try and attract people to capture them. However, if the reward was greater, more would take the risk.

this map is great for team games especially for 3v3.needs good strategy and good teamplay.i ve played it hundreds of times already but still enjoy playing in it!!

I played some games with random players on this map and this never worked out. Only pros can play this map properly. Else the player who claims russia always thinks, just because he said russia first in chat, that 1/3rd of the map belongs to him. When then the player who claimed turkey moves into russia (where else should he expand with bulgaria greece taken!!!) it's always great confusion and in the end everybody declares PE on everybody. So my advice is to only play this map with high level diplo players or with players that you trust. Also backstabing is a concern promoted by some constellations on this map (that only high level diplo players can fully understand).

It's a great map, but the balancing is just a tad off. The more central European bonuses should be a bit heavier; the more bonuses around the edge of the map have a bit of an advantage, but it's not like anyone can pull an Australia either and win outright. All things considered, it's pretty well balanced. I highly recommend this map.

Small (3) and big (6) area bonuses are not evenly spread throught the map. Players starting near a cluster of small bonuses will get an early advantage.

Not too many places to hide. Fun if you pick the right starting spot and win the center (France and Italy area), meaning fun if you win. This map is not very interesting looking and in some spots overcomplicated and in others very spread out.

Excellent map, good for a fairly long game. The only complaint I have regarding it is that some of the countries in Central Europe are a bit hard to start from, while some of the corner territories are much easier to start off with, though that's to be expected.

Sure this map is good but for new people i would stick with earth as alot of parts of this map are really bad starting places. i would say medium earth is better than this map. but this map is still good so i give a 4/5 it would be a 5 but like i said it has some very bad starting points

The last review to receive a positive rating, on this map, was almost three years ago.

It would be an honor to be the person to change that, but .... I don't know what to say. Frankly, there is no other 3v3 map that compares. I say this even though I am very bad at Europe 3v3. ^_^ I've played a couple of 1v1s on the map and it is decent, but 2v2 and 3v3 truly shine.

On its artistic merits, and strategic value I am not as experienced as other, more qualified players, so I defer to their opinions.
