Description

Map is based around the time of the 13th century when the major powers of europe were emerging. The map stretches from the americas in the west all the way to the holy lands in the east.
The map is great for team games such as 2v2v2 or 3v3 but the map is best for diplomacy games.

Hmmm... Those ships look oddly familiar...

Anyway, the map idea is pretty good, but I don't like how you didn't pay attention to prettying up the borders. And the coast of America looks a bit weird.
Suggestion: why not split the territory Ur in half, and name the southern half Mecca? Then you could add that to the holy cities bonus.

This map is a bit strange. For example, region named "Warsaw" is way off from where the real world's Warsaw is. Plus, it didn't exist at least until 14th century. Second, there's region named "Katowice". I don't want to know what led map author to conclusion it should be named such, as it's even more off, both geographically and historically (the first historical mention of Katowice comes from 16th century). I could tell the same about regions named "Kelce", "Gorzow", and some more possibly, but by now you should get a point.

What the heck is the New World doing on this map? And most of Saharan Africa? As well, no such thing as "Turkey" in 1100, or even 1300. Holy Land is a sideshow.

This isn't a bad map to play - it's OK - but it doesn't seem to have much that anchors it to the Crusades. As others have noted, the physical geography (America!) and the political geography are in places very strange. Why are Skane and Halland given to Sweden rather than Denmark? Why is Connaught in Ireland called Mayo and Munster called Limerick? And why is there a territory called 'Northern Ireland'! Why are the the eastern territories of Arabia identified as 'Telma' and Ur, why not Hejaz and Yemen? And so on. I'm also puzzled at the choice of sea routes. Why is there no connection across the Red Sea between Egypt and Mecca? Why is there apparently no port at Alexandria? I hope andy903 has another go at this because a map that really allowed play around the subject of the Crusades would be interesting, but there's a lot of work to be done.

I think the map is a little uneven. more bonuses to the right than left. however, I would have to use it more often to really have a better perspective.

Buen mapa. El nombre no se correspondería ya que "Las Américas" no eran conocidas en "Las Cruzadas"
