late 1941 and early 1942 soviets launch an offensive into German occupied lands. They met fierce resistance and nearly millions of soviet soldiers die compared to a few hundred thousand axis soldiers. Ironically the Germans are better entrenched, equipped and prepared for the offensive than the soviets.
