113 BC: The Germanic tribes of Cimbri and the Teutons have, for unknown reasons, left their native region of Jutland and came south. They have attacked both our ally tribe, the Taurisci, and our own territories. You must defend Roman territory against them! 112 BC: The King of Numidia, our longstanding ally, has died, and his nephew Jugurtha usurped the throne from the King's sons. After Jugurtha executed Adherbal and several Italians who defended him, the senate declared war upon Numidia. He has used Bribery, Treachery, and Trickery to defeat our first Roman army that was sent there. The second Roman consul sent delayed victory in order to obtain maximum glory when he finally won. You have been sent to replace him. Use your army to finally defeat Jugurtha! 8-20 turns long. |
