Time: 29th August 1975,8:11 UT Location: Europe,Central North,Southern Sweden and Northern Norway Priviet,Commander! The West has messed with us and must pay for it. We will start our activities with the invasion of Scandinavia. Norway as a NATO member is our main goal - they do not have a powerful army, and in the north we will definitely deal with them. Sweden, on the other hand, is a potential future threat and can be our strategic outpost; from there we will easily be able to move further and launch an effective strike against Norway. We have also Kamchatka and the Black Sea region to defend ourselves, but that's another story. Good luck! Participants: Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and Polish People's Republic vs Kingdom of Sweden and Kingdom of Norway Mission: Get to Arjang in Sweden and Torsvag in Norway Situation: Soviet and Polish forces are well prepared for this operation. Suddenly attacked Norway has inferior army compared to Soviet Union. Sweden is worse, as it has already prepared its coastal and land defenses, has strong ties with NATO and expects help from the US, despite its neutrality. Nonetheless, it should be without major complications. News: Government of Finland declared its neutrality towards an ongoing conflict, what was accepted by Soviet Union and United States of America. Finland had already established a peaceful relationship with the USSR after the end of WWII, but at the same time was afraid of potential interference of Moscow. Meanwhile, the escalation deepens! On 24th August Berlin was captured by West German Army and 2 day later the whole Germany has been united. Erich Honecker announced the collapse of the GDR. The government and army fled to neighbour communist countries. The Bundeswehr alongside with allies is heading towards Poland and Czechoslovakia. |
