Description |
In the Second Macedonian war, we stopped Macedon from spreading their influence in Greece and forced them to retreat to Macedonia. The Aetolians, who we aided in our last war, have recently become anti-Roman because we refused to let them reincorporate Echinus and Pharsalus, which were cities that used to be part of the Aetolian League. Meanwhile, Hannibal, the Carthaginian general in the Second Punic War, has fled to the Seleucid Empire while Antiochus III was decided what to do about Rome. He eventually is given command of their fleet during this war. Antiochus III has led his army across Hellespont in order to "liberate" Greece, while building on anti-Roman sentiment. When he was in Macedonia he gave the dead from the final battle in our war against Macedon a magnificent funeral and accused Phillip (The king of Macedon) of leaving the dead unburied. Thus, Phillip immediately decided to side with us. Command the Roman Legions to victory against the Seleucid Empire! This game is 5-15 turns long. |
