When a player clicks the Change Mods button when creating a WarLight game, they will be shown all mods that are both Public and Promoted (in addition to their own mods, of course.)
Mods can be set as public or non-public by mod authors in the Mod Development Console. Simply click Edit next to the mod and check or un-check the Public box.
Mods can only be set as Promoted by an administrator. If you make a high-quality mod and feel it deserves to be promoted, please follow these steps:
- Test it thoroughly in both single player and multi-player games. Recruit other players to help test and give you feedback to ensure it works and is free of bugs.
- Ensure the way to use it and its affects are well documented and easy to understand, either in ModDescription and/or in the game creation UI.
- Check the "public" box
- Send Fizzer a description of the mod, the mod ID (viewable when clicking Edit), and a link to a multi-player game played with the mod.
- Once it's promoted, check the "reports" section every once in a while to ensure any errors with the mod are fixed.
