I left gae out because it's not being used anymore. It won't be there for new players, and deleting it won't have any effect.

Most of WarLight's storage happens on the WarLight server. For example, all multi-player games, chat, and tournaments are stored completely on the server and only bare minimum of information is transmitted to player's computers.

However, there are some things that get stored on the client. For example, saved single-player games, whether or not sounds are enabled, and whether or not a player has watched a turn.

In the case of the web-based Flash version, these are stored in Flash's local storage system. In the mobile client, these are stored on your device's local filesystem.

Clearing Flash's storage

Sometimes Flash's storage repository can become corrupted which can cause functionality in the game to stop working. If this happens, you can clear your storage. Doing this won't interrupt any multi-player games you are in, but you will lose any single-player games saved on that device.

To clear your storage:

  1. Click the Single or Multi-player tab (it’s okay if the game doesn’t load all the way)
  2. Right-click and select Settings.
  3. Drag the storage indicator all the way to the left, then press OK and Close.
  4. Right-click again and this time, drag the storage indicator all the way to the right, then press OK and Close.
  5. Right-click again and select “Global Settings”
  6. Click “Local Storage Settings by Site”
  7. Delete “cdn.warlight.net”, and also “warlight.net” if it exists.
  8. Refresh your browser.
