We do put it in our clan forum, but we feel he should get recognition from other people too because he truly does deserve it. I suggest more clans do this. Its a great way to see who is contributing to their respective clan.

Every time i play with Poons they boot everyone by turn 2 or 3

what games? I've not seen people being booted by us. Sure there's plenty of autoboots, but that's where people presumably thought they were daily players but in fact weren't. Why do people sign up for a 24 hour game then complain when they are auto booted?

Because MOST games are 3 day autoboot. Not 1 day. Not everyone realizes that when they join a PS tournament.

I can tell you, that you guys do in your 3v3v3v3 1 min boots real time games, it is not autoboot either.

I have no problem with it though, it clearly says it in your game descriptions.

On topic: I can't see if these threads are serious about wanting to inform people, or just low level trolling to annoy people like MrHymen.

Well done jam, best pooner out there you should feel proud and honoured to receive this monthly honour (or is it every 28 days?).

Our games are faster, yes. But like Buns said we make it as clear as possible in the settings and description so it's not our fault if people then can't keep up. Also I tried to create a user voice to allow games to have 1 minute auto boot but Mercer shot me down :(

As far as the threads we've found they've had a positive impact overall, and it's a great way to recognize members. I agree with Pooncrew that more clans should do it as a nice little token of appreciation for those players who make big contributions to the clan.

I am not sure I agree more clans should do it. I brought this up before, but with over 100 clans, that is a lot of threads.

Most clans congratulate their members on ladder achievements, so doing a player of the month would be redundant there.



On one hand I think this has the potential to be some serious spam (which is why I don't care for it much, while harmless right now).

On the other hand it has more value than %99 of the OT threads, so I can't get on them really.

How does this have more value and 99% of Off-Topic threads? And what's the magical 1% that is more valuable than this white space?

Chris might be a part of the "Don't talk about politics on Warlight" brigade. Although I'm not really sure what the Off-Topic section is for if not off-topic things such as politics.

@Genghis I don't think Chris meant exactly 99%.

"Value" is a subjective term. What's not interesting to you might be very interesting to somebody else. It's kind of arrogant to say that a thread doesn't have any value simply because it's not within your personal interests.

True. I get where Chris is going though that most things in the OT forum are made by trolls like Lolicon

I'll agree that troll topics should universally be considered as trash. But I think that any topic which is at-least attempting to spark a meaningful conversation deserves to be there.

Well, I exaggerated for sure.

But, I am talking about threads like

So probably about half the threads there really.

IMO, the OT forum has it's place. If people want to talk politics and religion, go for it. I will have no part of it, but at least those are discussions. I hate the mindless drivel that people post for no reason. People treat this like their own person mind toilet where they can just dump their ideas. People do the same crap on Facebook. Who wants to know where you are eating, that you ran a mile, that you are stuck in traffic. Who cares? Stop and ask yourself if anyone cares about the crap you are about to post. Are you adding any value?

And I am tired of the excuse that it is in OT, so who cares. If we could ignore certain forums from the ALL Forums section and on the dashboard, I would be with you. But unfortunately neighbors dumping trash on their lawns is still an eyesore, even if it is not on mine.

End of old man rant. I just wish the vocal minority would grow up, that is all.
