Week 9 Summary:
There is some separation between the clans heading into the final stretch. CORP (2-1) is pulling away from General Chous (0-3), as excepted, due to CORP's higher win rate. ILLUMINATI▲ (1-1)holds a small lead over M'Hunters (1-0). Both ILLUMINATI▲ and M'Hunters do not seem to have a good path to claiming the promotion spot. It requires almost too much luck to be considered plausible at this time. That is why I'm sticking with my prediction that Lu Fredd will get the promotion spot.
There is a small shake-up at the bottom with Hawks (1-5) edging out Dutch Forever (1-1). However, Dutch Forever have the better win rate.
I anticipate CORP, ILLUMINATI▲ and M'Hunters to remain in Group D.
NOTE: I made an error in Dutch Forever's win-lose record and number of games left. It should be (14-45) with 7 games left.
It is somewhat interesting that Lu Fredd (1-0) got the promotion spot as no one publicly predicted Lu Fredd would the division. It wasn't that Lu Fredd was discounted entirely from this group, only it was perceived to be M'Hunters or ILLUMINATI▲ that would win the division. Lu Fredd has shown themselves to be the most consistent clan.
It will be interesting how the results of this division will be picked over in the end. Which of the clans underperformed and over performed; the weak links in a clan's line-up; and where the clan go forward in their respective divisions next season.
Group C looks tough next season and so does Group D (the hypothetical groups I discussed last week). It looks like Group D could be yet another clusterf**k like it was this season with the strong clans from D2 replacing the weaker clans in D1. I expect even more competition next season as all the clans in divisions D1 and D2 have a better understanding of where their strengths and weaknesses are.
