Welcome to the thread dedicated to setting up a roleplaying game ; a game where you roleplay as different armies in the modern world and have to adapt to changing environments and political climates.

Rules right off the bat :
1. Never EVER attempt to do an OP action (nukes all the nations of the world, $25 trillion GDP when you're RP'ing the Australian Armed Forces, etc.)
2. You are only permitted to posting 1 picture per post, do not triple-post, EVER. under any circumstances.
3. The purpose here is to Roleplay. This will be a forum game, not a warlight game. (if it were a warlight game, everybody would be booted or would become PUblic Enemy kek)
4. Bear in mind that the roleplay for this adventure will be set in 2032, not 2100 or 1954. Keep all roleplay updated or slightly forward in the future.

Now, in order to participate you must PM me or tell me on this thread your character sheet. The format will go like this :

-ROLEPLAY

Nation you are RP'ing (it can be real or made up. If it's made up, it has to be slightly realistic. This game is set in the near future, not in 2145)
Name of their Armed Forces (real or made-up, doesn't matter)
Name their Chief Staff (generals, field marshals, etc. the big guys)
Name other important government officials (like Head of State or important senators)
Set your GDP (keep it realistic, heck, use actual GDP projections if you want)

Extra, but unnecessary roleplay
Does your nation have any ambitions or goals?
What is your army's weapons of choice or standard weaponry?
What is the training like? Do you have special forces? etc.
you can answer other questions that aren't asked here, like what is the uniform colors, I don't care really it's just more good roleplay for the batch

-STATS

--Stats for Generals and Field Marshalls
Bear in mind you can have a maximum of 6 FMar's or GEN's, but there's a minimum of 3. For each one you must give them stats, and a certain branch or portion of the Armed Forces they command. You can have a maximum of 1 Great General, and you will have a minimum of 1 Bad General (these can be altered by special in-game events , etc. Also, don't know why anyone would want more than 1 bad general kek)
Bear in mind that Great Generals can have a maximum of 30 invested Benefit points, Regular Generals have a maximum of 20 and Bad Generals have a maximum of 15.

For every General, assign them a branch or portion of the military they lead.
Feel free to offer any extra rp information about generals or anybody, really.

Bear in mind that Key Officials have a maximum of 35 benefit points, and Sub-Officials have a cap of 15.

--Nation Or Army Stats

Now, here is where you set the stats for your nation. Your stats will determine like maximum recruitment pool of soldiers, your ability to support your nation with a good economy. You will also choose which 3 of 9 resources you want your nation to have a severe market control on. These strategic resources offer very important advantages that are explained in-game.

<Name of Nation>
CHOOSE 1 of the 4 economy types. You cannot change the stats for them in any way.
CAPITALIST-------------SOCIALIST---COMMUNIST-----TOTALITARIAN
Wealth ----------9/10-----6/10--------2/10----------3/10
Class Distortion-10/10----6/10--------1/10----------4/10
Job Opportunity--6/10-----8/10--------4/10----------1/10
Resource Wealth--2/10-----1/10--------9/10----------6/10
Safety Net-------1/10-----8/10--------9/10----------5/10
<Totalitarian Only> Rebellion Control --------------9/10

Now you can choose other stats
You have a maximum of 20 points to invest into these.

Military Size 0-10
Military Expertise 0-10
Officer - Soldier Ratio 0-10
Land Use Efficiency 0-10
Infrastructure 0-10
Population 0-10

Be careful about these stats. They can be very beneficial, but they have drawbacks. A high population means unrest, a large military can be very awry if discord comes along. A high Officer-Soldier Ratio encourages discord (though it does make military operations run smoother). Just think about the possible rp applications , bad or good, before choosing.

-ASSASSINATION ROLEPLAY
This will be a key part of the game : assassinating important figureheads. Nations can recruit assassins and personal guard units as their offers and recommendations come to them, at a price usually, it's expensive to maintain a large, elite guard force who are 24/7 active after all. You start out with 1 Assassin and 5 elite guards. They have no point limits of any sort.

--ASSASSIN STATS
2 Benefits, 1 Disadvantage points

<assassin name>
BENEFITS
Stealth 0-10
Proficiency 0-10
Tactical 0-10
DISADVANTAGES
Large Body 0-10
Unprofessional 0-10
Traitorous 0-25
<additional rp, any expertises?>

For every 1 benefit point, 1 disadvantage point for Elite Guards
Elite Guard
Reaction 0-5
Strength 0-6
Vitality 0-3
Agility 0-8
DISADVANTAGES
Fear 0-4
Unloyal 0-12
Small Body 0-6

Now, as you turn in your nation's "character sheets" bear in mind that anything you deem to be a gap in making the sheet is probably something that is solved by roleplaying it. For example, military operations or occupations. After you are done turning in character sheets, I will construct a world map (using MS Paint-like devices and such) and will develop the scenario we are experiencing. From there, a lot of the roleplay will be decided by stats and the roll of my dice.

The cutoff date for Character Sheet Submission is 11/13/15 18:00:00 US Central Time. So about 11/14/15 00:00:00 for you Europeans.

Below this, I'll put down an example character sheet so you know how it might look.

In order to sign up, PM me or give out your character sheet on this thread.

Just another side note, any information or details you want me to know about, you can say those at the appropriate "Extra RP" section. Otherwise, I will probably give you something random on the world map, or will misinterpret what you want when I handle the Roleplaying and such or the enviornments/ climates.

Sure thing. It only took me like 10-15 minutes. Granted, you might want to do extra RP stuff so make 5+ minutes. It's really not much of a time commitment. I'll try to make the game friendly to people who want things concise or simple. I'll try to hold a weekly news to summarize important events in-game.

Bear in mind that any of your stats can be translated into Extra Roleplaying or can transferred to other stats. I.E. a capitalist nation could certainly get away with $10 Trillion USD, but a Communist nation might barely scrape $800 Billion. You should also consider the size of your nation. A small nation (this is something you have to decide through Extra RP, where your country is approximately located, its size, etc.) will be more efficient likely, but as you can hypothesize it might have less GDP, population or sheer strength. A lot of the RP'ing you'll do will be intuitive.

Large or small, you'll have a nice experience. I'd say a small nation is a better option, but large nations might appeal more to people based on how they feel like RP'ing.

Government Officials: Zerai Petros, Hailemariam Desalegn, and Yahya Jamal.
GDP: $126.2 Billion (i increased it a little bit from today's)

History: In the wake of the 203rd decade, Sudan retook control of South Sudan and annexed some of Ethiopia lands, causing the Horn of Africa Nations to form a makeshift alliance to protect themselves. At the time the alliance was called The Allies of the Horn, the alliance eventually retook Ethiopia's land with a Peace Treaty with Sudan. after the conflict they realized that together they had Sway with the rest of the World (not that much though, but more than they were used to).

We are an observer state of the Arab league and a member of the UN and African League (and all that other crap too).

The Leader of the Horn switches between all of the represented members in the court of the Horn. (pretty much the speaker of the house)
Members:
Prime Minister of Ethiopia,
President of Ethiopia (as a representative of the Ethiopia Parliament)
Prime Minister of Somalia (under authority of the Council of Ministers)
President of Somalia (as a representative of the Somalia Parliament) (both Ethiopia and Somalia's presidents must have approval of the respective parliament)
Prime Minister of Djibouti
President of Eritrea (Current Leader)

This agreement resolved much in the area: The Release of the G-15 Prisoners (which eventually led to a revolution on the government and a once again democratic nation, and then Peace between Eritrea and Ethiopia), Badme was given back to Eritrea,

The Scottish Rebels' ambitions are to secure the entire nation of Scotland from the pro-unionists, and the English interventionists in the current civil war.
No weapons of choice currently exist, as they are using whatever they can find, steal, pillage, and ransack.

Turnip fix your sheet.

I noticed you used an invalid economy, invalid nation stats (went over the budget of 20) invalid character stats for a few (when i say round up, a character with 13 benefit points should have 7 disadvantages if they have 1 disadvantage per 2 benefits.

Other than that, it's completely valid (though it's in bad taste and kind of is a joke)
