Nation : Republic Of the Western Sun (ROWS)
Armed Forces : The Western Victorious Armed Forces (Desert Defense Force + Western Victorious Regulars, Free Pacific Navy, Western Republican Air Force)
Chief Staff : Admiral Timothy Vazquez, Grand Admiral Carlos Richardson, Commander Patrick Jones, Corporal Matt Reid, Major General Mariana Jung
Government Officials : Council Chair Barry Reverte, Councilwoman Gabriela Polk, Councilman Dan Kowalski
GDP : $3 Trillion

This fledgling nation was founded after parts of the USA and Mexico joined together to form their own nation. It controls almost all of California, Washington, Oregon, and Northwest Mexico. The technological advances coming out of Silicon Valley have allowed it to prosper. Its army is quite small, consisting of a small group disciplined soldiers (Western Victorious Regulars), and a second band of soldiers well versed in all types of guerrilla warfare, known for their unpredictable battle tactics (DDF). It also has a fairly small air force, with very few bombers and fighter planes stationed in its two air bases. However, it has emerged on the scene as a major naval power, with multiple nuclear submarines, a very powerful navy. The Free Pacific Navy primarily protects shipping lanes in peacetime, with strike forces strategically positioned all over the Pacific, ready to respond to any foreign aggression. Recently, rumors of a top-secret space program have begun to circulate, leading some to speculate that the Republic Of the Western Sun is developing ICBMs.

Good one, masterpie. I've noticed peopleare trending toward Socialism, and generally focusing on the nation stats over army stats. Nothing wrong with this, but you'd expect to see some Totalitarians or Communists kek

I'd say the best guide is to think about their rp applications.

I'll go over them shortly.

Also bear in mind that when the game starts, there will be the in character thread where we actually play, and an out of characterthread.

All of the stats seem logical to me- except diversity. What the hell does it mean for my character to be more "diverse"? Diversity of strategy, more people connect with them, is just physically different from the majority?

Armed Forces : Armed Forces of the Hawaiian Empire (Imperial Hawaiian Army, Imperial Hawaiian Navy, Imperial Air Force of Hawaii, Imperial Nuclear Corps)

Government Officials : Chancellor of the Imperial Privy Council Drew Lamont, Minister of the Treasury Victor Inouye, Minister of Justice Jason Chan, Speaker of the Central Assembly Laquisha Davidson
GDP : $200 Billion

Hawaii succeeded from the United States and created it’s own country after a successful coup was thrown which also saw the capture of much of the US navy stationed in the islands. A puppet figurehead emperor was installed and the empire is now run by the Imperial Privy Council (headed by Chancellor Drew Lamont) with occasional input from the Central Assembly. Hawaii’s current relations with other countries are peaceful (?) and the young nation itself is stable and ready to expand their influence into the Pacific.

[Remember when I said I was going totalitarian? ...I lied. The backstory I came up with doesn't fit totalitarianism.]

[Also, some of names are based of movie characters and real-world people.]

[And this took longer than I expected ;_;]
~~~
Quick backstory: With the crysis in 2015, separatist protests in south and sotheastern Brazil grew incredibly quickly. The crysis finally came into control in early 2018, close to the presidencial elections. As the Workers' Party wins again, the separatist movement grows tremenduosly once more and the south and southeast secede from Brazil, forming a semi-autonomous republic. Not recognized by the world in general, the separatists decide to make their move - they stop paying taxes to the federal government, but to each state's government, rather, and they annex some of more developed northeastern states (Bahia, Sergipe and Pernambuco). They achieve some recognition, but the rest of Brazil refuses to give them full indepence. Investing their income on local infrastructure and anticorruption, the coast's growth far surpasses that of the rest of the nation, that falls into a huge crysis.
Yes but consider resource wealth. I've yet to explain the stats, but I'll tell you resource wealth has a lot to do with how much you get of resources, how much money they give you, etc. Etc.
I'll tell you the big focus of each economy.
Capitalist - Exploit poor nations, develop serious money and industry.
Socialism - You have a balanced outlook, but your resource wealth will cripple you. Socialism is good for keeping your nation from collapsing but still having economic power.
Communism - Corruption is severely limited, social classes are out of the picture which maintains a happy populace. However, you are extremely poor. You are a people of material, not wealth. This will be difficult for trade and diplomacy.
Totalitarian - This is for people who want to maintain completely control of your population but want to handle an efficient military. It is definitely effective in warfare.
Also bear in mind that as the game goes on, you might witness revolution and your government or economy may change etc. Etc. It's just how it goes.
