i have been playing now for about a week and i have loved it...should i upgrade to membership

It's cheap, it's a lifetime membership, and you pay for it through Amazon so I felt good doing it. I really enjoy this game and am a huge fan of the effort Randy (the site developer) continues to put into it.

Yeah, to tell the truth it's really the quality of this site's dev team of one. I've play soooooo many other browser based games online that despite being really fun and addicting, they weren't worth upgrading. Astro empires is an excellent example of this. Their team of moderators don't care about their membership at all. They ban their members without even providing a reason. Which is an irritating thing to worry about when wondering whether or not you want to upgrade your account.

What's best about warlight, is that it still seems to be in it's toddler stage. Has room for it's membership to literally ignite and continuously grow. Main reason I upgraded~

I hesitated for a month. Usually I am very tightfisted when it comes to spending my money online, but seeing that I had so many hours of fun playing this game the last couple of weeks I decided to spend the 22,-€. In comparison, going to the cinema with beer and nachos costs me almost the same, so 30$ really is not too expensive for this great game.

I paid for my membership the first second I was able to.

Dont pay for membership. As You can see only members recommend it to You. Its pointless and worthless and You will be bored in 2 weeks. Play month on non-member account, then decide.

My main reasons are the 1v1 ladder, the ability to host lower luck games and to support a great indie game.

If people really would get bored after 2 weeks how come you are still around, heh?

The irony of someone who has played 658 games in the last 7-8 months saying "you will be bored in 2 weeks" is incredible.

Personally, I think it's absolutely worth it. Keep in mind that there are likely to be more members-only features in the future, and I wouldn't be surprised if the $30 lifetime membership offer eventually goes away (or has the price increased).

A non-member saying the game is worth paying for, or a member saying it isn't, gives alot more weight then a member saying it is, or a non-member saying it isn't.


the way i Figure it, personally.. give it time/enjoyment ratio. Personally, I have 498 games.. presume i played each of those games for 10 minutes each, that is 83 hours of enjoyment. Now anyone that plays this game knows that 10 minute games are rare, and also a fair amount of Regular PC games give less hours of enjoyment for a higher cost initially. Whether it is worth it to *insert name* is really up to them. I feel Fizzer has given me more then 30$ worth of enjoyment.. so much more, that i would feel like a complete ass not to help him out by paying for a membership.

Let me tell you what, I would certainly pay if I could, and I certainly will pay when I can. Just do not disappear the lifetime membership before I get it! ;)

To all of you who live in the U.S.A, and some other countries, and don't have a credit cardm get a prepaid debit card! They are sold in every drugstore around the block.

Lifetime for $30 is a bargain right now.

I seriously expect it to go away within the year.

So I'll be very happy when in say 5 months there is no lifetime membership and you have to pay $30 or more every year.

The quality of the site, players and management is superb.

And yes the added features are worth it, I'm looking forward to the ladder.

I agree the game is quite good and interesting. Im still playing it right? Nevertheless there are not many people here and things have to be done to change it. Now only members can create interesting games, which means people will quit and probably only members will stay (20 people?).

Well, according to the ladder page, there are currently 63 members in the 1v1 ladder. All have to be members in order to be a ladder league player. I'm pretty sure there are a few members that haven't joined the 1v1 ladder as one on one's aren't their thing. So that's roughly 70 active players remaining in the community(if your premonitions are correct.) There's also a highly active group of players that play nothing but 3v3 on big Poland, which I'm sure you've noticed. A large chunk of those players entered the 1v1 tourney for the free membership, although I'm rather sure that Tourney is gonna be won by either, Heyheuhei, pinkbladder(currently playing against hey) or slejer. So it's not going to do their small community much good as slejer isn't the most active of them and almost never hosts.

Anyyyywhoooo. I can't think of many people missing since the membership addition, that are less active now then they were before. Maybe one or two people, but I still see them here and there hosting exactly as they had before. Cept John Tack now hosts 16% instead of 0 ^_^

Definitely worth it.

It's quite cheap and there's a great community of nice players here. The 1v1 ladder allows you to get games with the best players and learn a lot.

I also assume slayerr that there's at least that many number of players like me who will get a membership soon enough.
